Unexpected $80.05 UPS Charges and No Follow-Up
I purchased Harlow Harry Hunter 33 pet perfume from KINPUP Trading Company for $68.67. After delivery, I received a separate UPS invoice for $80.05 in import-related charges—more than the merchandise cost.
Although KINPUP states that its shipping policy warns of possible import fees, I believe the potential magnitude of these charges was inadequately disclosed before checkout.
I contacted KINPUP repeatedly and provided the itemized UPS invoice. On October 1, 2026, the company stated that it was investigating the charges and promised an update.
As of October 15, I had received no further communication or resolution. I ultimately paid the $80.05 UPS invoice myself.
I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Illinois Attorney General, and econsumer.gov.
My advice to U.S. customers: Before ordering from KINPUP, ask about all potential customs, brokerage, and import charges. My $68.67 purchase ultimately cost $148.72.
