Komentar.in.ua: fakes, lies, and a complete mockery of reviews

I want to publicly share how Komentar.in.ua doesn’t operate as a real review platform, but rather as a shadow system of manipulation and discreditation. Legitimate Ukrainian online stores receive deliberately low ratings, while fake websites get glowing five-star reviews. Here's why you should not trust Komentar.in.ua.

The first thing that stood out was the sheer number of reviews signed with male names, but written from a female perspective: “I ordered” (using feminine form in Ukrainian) and vice versa. The system doesn’t even check for consistency between names and the review text. This is either manual manipulation or a bot injecting template texts across all profiles.

Then it gets even more absurd. There are reviews for stores that have been shut down for years. For example, itrusiki.com.ua officially ceased operations back in 2019. There’s even an announcement from the administration stating the store is closed. Yet somehow, there are fresh reviews from 2025 praising their delivery, product quality, and customer service - some even claiming they visited the physical store! How is that possible if the store doesn’t even exist?

Or take delivery service Justin, which shut down three years ago. Still, Komentar.in.ua features 2025 reviews from people who supposedly received parcels through them. This is pure comedy!

Here’s my theory: honest businesses that don’t pay or register with the site are automatically flooded with negative or dubious reviews. Meanwhile, websites promoted through Komentar.in.ua (likely via paid placements) receive dozens of fake five-star ratings. Their rankings are artificially inflated. Negative pages are pushed up in Google search results, creating the false impression that a store is bad - even if it operates ethically.

In short, Komentar.in.ua is a trash site filled with fake UGC (user-generated content) that creates a misleading picture of businesses. It’s a platform built for manipulation and defamation. Your brand can be trashed without your knowledge, and that’s dangerous.

If you’re a store owner - stay away.
If you’re a customer - look for reliable review platforms.

Fake reviews, outdated content, and zero moderation

I visited Komentar.in.ua to check user feedback about online stores. What I found is disturbing. The platform actively hosts reviews that are either fake, outdated, or clearly autogenerated — and there seems to be no moderation at all.

Let me be specific.

There are multiple 5-star reviews for a store (itrusiki.com.ua) that officially shut down in 2019. Despite this, glowing reviews with 2025 timestamps are being posted. This simply makes no sense.

One user writes: “I ordered… I left a review.” But the sentence mixes female and male gender in Ukrainian. That doesn’t happen in real speech — it happens when someone rewrites text without thinking, or generates it with a bot.

Dozens of reviews come from anonymous users with names like “Guest,” “Olga,” “User123.” The texts are suspiciously generic: “Fast delivery, quality is great, will order again.” No product details. No real experience. No mention of actual interaction with the seller.

Some reviews seem copied across multiple sites. Phrases are identical to those on other aggregators (like Otzyvua), which makes me think these are mass-generated for boosting ratings.

This is not a minor issue. These reviews can mislead customers, especially those looking for safe places to shop online in Ukraine. The site is currently inflating reputations of inactive or questionable stores — and putting real buyers at risk.

Summary:

Komentar.in.ua cannot be trusted as a source of real customer experience. If you're reading reviews there — cross-check them elsewhere. The lack of moderation, presence of fabricated reviews, and outdated content makes it unsafe and misleading.
