Written by the company

The Korp Academy is an online drawing school built for people who want to actually learn how to draw – not just watch someone else do it. It focuses on marker pens and a deliberately imperfect drawing style that makes the whole process easier, more enjoyable, and far less intimidating than traditional art classes. Members get step-by-step tutorials that show you exactly what to do, in what order, so you see real progress fast. The focus is on simple techniques that make your art look good without needing years of practice. The “wonky line” method is a core part of the teaching: instead of chasing perfection, you learn to draw bold, confident lines, embrace mistakes, and turn them into style. It’s a practical way to build skill and confidence at the same time. What makes Korp Academy stand out is the community and the support. You’re not left on your own. There are live sessions, drawing challenges, feedback, and a genuinely friendly environment where people at all levels share their work, learn together, and encourage each other. If you want a place that takes the pressure out of drawing, helps you improve quickly, and makes the whole experience fun again, Korp Academy delivers. It’s accessible, down-to-earth, and built for anyone who wants to pick up a pen and draw without overthinking it.

Totally ace.

Korp and the other members of the community have been great. He puts up with me, is patient, and an excellent guide to art styles. And he's also a great guy.

Great for adults and kids

Korp is the best online teacher I've ever had. His hour long tutorials are the first time I've really gotten over that creative fear of failure and made something I'm proud of every time. He helped me incorporate art into my day to day.

I've been a member since 2020 and I love introducing friends of all ages to the Korp Academy.

Fun online drawing with a great teacher

I joined Korp Academy during lockdown because I’d always wanted to learn to draw. It’s so much fun I’m still a member. Korp’s teaching is really supportive and the classes are great fun. I’ve tried all the classes and Posca is my favourite because it’s infinitely correctable (you can put light colours over dark colours and the dark doesn’t show through). I didn’t think I could draw but Korp’s encouragement and tips mean I now have several sketchbooks of drawings that I’m really proud of having produced.

10/10 recommend joining…

Korps lessons are suitable for all ages and levels of ability. With 3 mediums to choose from, the lessons are straightforward and rarely longer than an hour, and cover a wide range of fun subjects; there is always something for everyone.
The online community he has built is fun and engaging, with people from all over the world sharing their art, and supporting each other in their artistic journey.
You don’t have to join the live sessions, Korp is always responsive to any questions you may have and his sessions are available quickly for those who have not been able to join live. His activity packs are a great resource and there are so many available in his library.
10/10 recommend - its been the most fun I have had with art in my 40 odd years!
