Thieves and scammers

Thieves and scammers. They told me I could cancel my service if I moved abroad. I already moved out of NL, filled their cancelling form months in advance and repeatedly showing proof of deregistration, I called customer service at least 10 times asking them to process my request. They ignored my requests to cancel my service until a new tenant moved to my old apartment. They are still trying to charge me money. Disgusting liars and thieves.

KPN is stealing money

Money is being taken from my bankaccount while I have NO PRODUCT from KPN! They are stealing. On the phone they said that it was a mistake from another costumer and that they would fix it, but it is still happening after months. STOP THIS!

DO NOT BUY A SERVICE OF THIS COMPANY.
I signed up for fiber-optic internet service with them, and they promised to install it within 14 days of my request. My order got stuck in limbo in their system, and I had to call them for WEEKS. I even called the third-party companies because THOSE INCOMPETENTS can’t get the job done, so I have to do their work for them. After that nightmare was finally resolved, NOW MY CONTRACT IS STILL IN LIMBO. They can’t seem to see that I’ve been using the internet for OVER A MONTH. I haven’t received the first invoice, and I haven’t gotten the tracking code for my welcome gift. Honestly, I think I would’ve been better off just buying that crappy Nintendo Switch and sticking with Ziggo

Bought home telephones that failed…

Bought home telephones that failed after a few minutes talking, it was due to the batteries, originally delivered with the telephones. You need to buy new batteries, so I did in the KPN shop. No solution, phones failed again. The KPN shop informed me that I should not have installed the batteries, because they create the issue, oops KPN you told me to buy and install these batteries. After filing the complaint the service person told me that I should have given back the phones in the KPN shop. I was surprised as people in the shop should have offered the solution, not a problem. The issue initially started in 2023, but based on the advice of the shiop dragged until 2025, on which basis the complaint was filed

Very poor fibre internet quality…

Poor fibre internet quality requiring constant reboots of ONT and Router, slow connectivity speeds, frequently at <10% of contracted 200Mb/s. And then no contact details on the site to speak with someone to resolve the problem.

KPN has the most best customer service…

KPN has the most best customer service in the whole of the Nederlands, they treat their customers like kings and queens, my experience with one of their werker today was flawless, his name is Mr,Baker, he was patient, loving and so caring, I've been with kpn for over 20years, they're simply the best, thank u kpn for giving me the best service ever, I will never exchange you for any other company.

Awful experience

I put one star because I can't put zero.

Where do I even start with this disaster of a company?

First, the fibre connection. It took ages to get it working properly. The service was unreliable, getting a technician out was a nightmare, and when they finally showed up, they didn't even have the right equipment to fix anything. So they had to come back. Again. Utterly incompetent.

But the real horror show started when we left the Netherlands. We informed KPN in early January that we were moving abroad on 1st February. We were explicitly assured that the cancellation would be free of charge since we were relocating to another country.

What actually happened? They kept charging us after we left. Then they hit us with a cancellation fee of over €700 — the exact opposite of what we were told. And now, three months later, they are still dragging their feet and refusing to actually close the account.

We had no choice but to cancel the direct debit through our bank. I have called them at least 30 times — yes, thirty — and the issue is STILL not resolved.

And now, the cherry on top: they are threatening to blacklist us. As long as we don't pay their bogus €700+ fee, we are blocked from signing up with ANY telecom provider in the Netherlands. So not only do they refuse to honour what they promised, they are now actively holding us hostage.

This company is an absolute disgrace. Dishonest, incompetent, and completely indifferent to their customers. Stay far, far away from KPN.

BAD Service, even worse customer support

This will be a rant and my review of KPN.

I got my KPN mobile phone and internet plus TV in 2024 when I got in the Netherlands and my inital opinion was positive but it quickly changed. It started with frequent internet failure due to maintenance bud it escalated with customer support.



Honestly in my life I never experienced worse customer support. Their employees are all nice and friendly but frankly uselessy. Due to personal circumstances I am moving out of the Netherlands and I wish to cancel my service and oh boy. I initially went in person where an employee told me they cannot do anything only online, interesting but ok so I went home and filled everything and got an email that they will get back to me in 5 working days…it has been 3 weeks. Then I spent an HOUR over the phone with multiple agents who basically say: you have to wait and send an email…so I do that. I send three emails over the week and still nothing, then I spend an HOUR AGAIN and they say they will get back to me. They did…with A NEW FORM FOR SAME INFORMATION.

Honestly what is the point of your customer support if in person you cannot do anything, over the phone gets you nothing AND THEY IGNORE YOUR EMAILS. Honestly terrible service, just atrocious customer support and I hate the service and KPN.

If you have any choice for the provider AVOID KPN

awful service

awful service, I spent 40 minutes listening to a guy saying JA JA JA & slurping coffee. When he could not help he ended the call.

I called back & got a rude lady who contradicted the first person I spoke with telling me they should not have told me the information.

Awful, choose Odido, they even call you back when the line drops.

If I could click 0 stars I would’ve. I cancelled on September 5 2025. They did not accept my cancellation until I called again multiple times. Finally, I thought I cancelled on November 6 2025 but it is April 9 2026 and they are still billing me!! SEVEN months after I cancelled and returned my product. Not to mention their wifi is awful! I wouldn’t even recommend KPN to someone I hate. Truly awful.

KPN is a shameful

KPN is a shameful, scamming, misleading, unfaithful, and rude company.
When I registered as a new client for Internet and TV due to their TV and Laptop promotion, I was aiming for an extra laptop for my work. However, they betrayed me.
Those who got a TV, are complaining due to a low-quality 300 euro TV delivered compared to what was advertised 599euro. What a scam!

Moreover, what surprised me as a new customer was that all the agents I talked to multiple times from KPN who were promoting the gifts on their website didn't know their partner, Sidekix, who was responsible for sending the gifts.
By the way, I also talked to Sidekix 3 times sidekix they told me that KPN didn't send us any information about you to deliver your gifts. This shows the level of scam running in this trash company.
I wasted my time and energy for nothing.
I will report this shameful company to the Netherlands, Geschillencommissie Telecommunicatiediensten, for further investigation.

Worst customer experience

Would never recommend it go ziggo instead.
Had so much issue with the fiber installation. They closed my case and did show up for appointments. Neighbors been complaining to me that they didn’t show up for appointments and caused a mess outside their house. Everyone in my building told me to go for ziggo but sadly I had a 2 year contract with KPN and I am stuck now. I will never in my life make the mistake of going with KPN again. I thought how bad it could be but they proved me wrong.

Just had a contact with an employee of…

Just had a contact with an employee of this company after my request to be called back! It took me 8 minutes to describe what my problem is. He kept repeatedly asking the same question and at some point he concluded that a fake number called me! Im surprised KPN is recruiting mentally unstable people at their customer support line!

I wish I could give 0 star

I wish I could give 0 star. I switched to KPN 2-year contract because of the Dyson V10 welcome gift.
The gift was delayed by 2 months and eventually the package came damaged with a big hole throughout all the packaging. The KPN customer service called and said I have to accept the damaged Dyson, as they couldn't help me further AND they also refused to email me their decision and wished me good luck in the call. Well done, KPN. If you are about to switch providers, you can skip KPN already -- worst customer service ever.

Don’t do the same mistake

made a huge mistake switching from Odido to KPN. From day one, the problems started. The installation and activation were delayed without clear communication, leaving me without reliable service longer than promised. Once it was finally active, the internet quality was shockingly poor — constant drops, slow speeds, and unstable connection that made normal use frustrating.

I kept being told to “upgrade” or add packages to fix the issues. I trusted their advice and ended up paying for the highest VIP/top package they offer, expecting premium performance and support. Instead, nothing improved. It feels like a complete scam to charge premium prices for a service that simply does not exist at the level advertised.

Customer support response times were far from what was promised, and the solutions offered never resolved the core problems. I’m now paying more than ever for worse service than I had before switching. If you’re considering moving your network to this provider, think twice — my experience has been extremely disappointing and costly.
