At the start, KT@MJA Solar were good, not too pushy, regular checks on our systems.
However, when our system stopped working, they came out and tried to tell us that the battery they had fitted just 6 months past was, in fact, the very 1st battery we'd had installed by a previous provider!...Despite obvious evidence to the contrary, Kevin continued to disagree and became more and more aggressive in his nature towards us. I must admit that I probably didn't help as I decided to withhold some money in an attempt to get him to resolve this issue - even the technician who eventually took the battery away stated that it was definitely the one that had been installed the most recently!!
Once this issue had been resolved we then found that the element in our water tank, connected to our solar panels, was not working (In the summer we have been paying the standing charge plus £1-2 for our gas!).
My 1st email regarding this issue was sent in Sept 2025, I have sent many, many chasers with absolutely no response....and now, today, 23/3/2026, I can see why....finally there is a message across the top of their website stating 'This Company is no longer trading'!!!!....let's hope the next company we use and more customer focussed!

Very disappointed with the installation carried out by KT & MJA Solar LTD

The solar system was connected to the old fuse board, despite a brand new consumer unit clearly labelled “SOLAR” being installed and visible. Instead of using the obvious route that had already been prepared, the installers drilled unnecessary holes through the ceiling and across the loft, ignored the existing armoured cable and ducting route, and even punched holes through the soffit.

What makes this worse is that there was a clear and far neater route available roughly 10 metres before the one they chose, which would have avoided unnecessary drilling and damage and resulted in a much cleaner installation.

Nine months later the situation is still unresolved and the cable installed is still hanging loose with no cleats fitted, leaving the job looking unfinished and unprofessional.

When the issue was raised, the response from the installer was that they will not move the cable unless I pay an additional £500 + VAT, despite the issue arising from their own installation choices.

For a company carrying out professional solar installations, I would expect far higher standards of workmanship and a willingness to resolve clear installation issues. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

For transparency, I am happy to provide photos of the installation, the unused labelled solar consumer unit, the unnecessary drilling through the loft and soffit, and the cable still hanging without cleats after nine months.

I will also be seeking independent advice on whether the installation complies with relevant MCS standards and electrical installation regulations, given the routing of the cable and the connection to the incorrect consumer unit.

Based on the quality of the work and the response to raising concerns, I cannot recommend this company.

KTMJA Solar are a rogue company employing subbys.. Kevin Weedon owner will promise but not deliver very economical with the truth, check Company House info.Wheres the accounts? Danny and others should be ashamed of their installations which are unsafe and not in-accordance with MCS standards which I note has been withdrawn. Reviews are very suspect see October 2024 how many 5 stars in one day/week!! The last review suggests they are in liquidation if they are hopefully Weedon will not scam others

One line message received saying they are going into liquidation. Meanwhile they took a deposit from us 6 months ago they haven't refunded, and are failing to provide any information on their workmanship & deposit warranty insurance scheme, that they are legally obliged to take out under their RECC membership.

I wouldn't recommend this company for the past year my experience has been a total disaster unprofessional and a lack of communication they are totally unreliable.

I've had a great experience from start to end of the installation.
Che advised me about how many panels would suit my property, what the installation would entail and how long it should take.
Che also came out to our property to survey it prior to installation.
Two men arrived at 8am prompt. 1 electrician and 1 solar panel installer, both were respectful of me and our home.
All works took just 2 hours to complete and I'm very happy. However, I can't seem to work out how to log into the app.
I would highly recommend this company.

I recently contacted KT Mja Solar Ltd to inquire about adding additional solar panels to my home so that I could get registered on the grid. I had previously had panels installed by another company, but they weren't MSC certified, and I was left feeling frustrated and unsure. After explaining my situation to Kevin, I was impressed by his honesty and transparency.

Kevin took the time to walk me through all of my options and assured me that there would be no upfront fees—something I truly appreciated, given my past experiences. Without him knowing, I did my own due diligence to verify the legitimacy of KT Mja Solar Ltd. I checked with Companies House and confirmed they were a registered company. I also called the MSC help line, and they confirmed that KT Mja Solar Ltd was registered and that they were also RECC accredited, as advertised on their website.

I compared quotes from a couple of other solar installers, and I found that KT Mja Solar Ltd was not only much more affordable but also more transparent. One company even quoted me higher and claimed to have the MSC certification, only for me to discover they were still in the process of getting it.

The installation was fast, efficient, and surprisingly clean—no mess or disruption to my roof tiles. Kevin kept his promise and sent me both my MSC certification and the electrical certificate, which gave me peace of mind knowing that the installation met all health and safety requirements (something the previous company never provided).

Thanks to KT Mja Solar Ltd, I now have the option to sell back energy to the grid if I choose to. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar panels. And for anyone wondering—solar panels really do cut electric bills, even on cloudy days!

My existing system required a new inverter.

I contacted Solar, and they replaced the existing inverter with a new one, which I was informed was a better product. A voltage regulator was also supplied to improve the operation.

The engineer who arrived and completed the work was, in my opinion, first-class. He knew what he was doing and got on with it.

It was not cheap, but then what do I know? Hopefully, it will last.

Can't thank Kevin and the lads at MJA enough! A previous engineer took money off me for the initial call out and then refused to come and do the repairs a week later with no hot water. MJA got me back up and running in less than 24 hours, will be calling them for a service in the new year!

Good communication hassle free install and best of all exceedly good price. Unlike some firms did not try to restrict the size of my installation to the standard house size for an easy life on the admin.
