I notice that the good reviews are several years old.
I purchased a Kulkuf unit 2 moonths ago for my wife, but she found it too bulky. I tried contacting the company well within a month to arrange a return, and have heard nothing from them after 4 attempts to contact them. As best I can tell, there is NO customer service! (I gave them 1 star only because "none" was not an option.
I recommend trying to contact them yourself prior to purchasing their product. Otherwisee, only buy if you're certain you want this, because there's apparently no going back. Very frustrating!!! Caveat emptor!

Customer service has been amazing!!! The cuff definitely gets cold. Unfortunately, it did not lessen the severity of my hot flashes. It is also quite large on my tiny 100-pound frame. I think it is certainly worth a try if you suffer from hot flashes…it just may work for you.

Update: September 2023. The fan in my Kulkuf stopped working in August after owning it for less than a year and only using it intermittently. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement after a few weeks, but it was the wrong size. I have asked them twice to send the correct size and they have stopped responding. So I have no working device and I consider it a waste of money since it lasted less than a year. I'm unable to recommend the Kulkuf based on my experience. There are competitors on the market now so I may try one of those.

Original review: I have been using the Kulkuf for a few weeks now and the experience has been mostly positive. Shipping is from India and took less than a week to reach me in the U.S. The first unit I received stopped working properly shortly after I began using it. I was able to have a replacement shipped quickly, which I really appreciate; however, I had to pay the cost of shipping the faulty item, which is unheard of in my experience. The manufacturer should absolutely cover the cost of returning a defective unit (the post office even commented on this!), and for this reason, I have taken off one star in my review.

As to the cooling properties, I find that the wristband does help some with cooling. I had expected to be able to wear it to bed; however, because it cannot be operated under the covers, I am reluctant to fall asleep with it on and accidentally activate it under the covers during the night if I wake up and turn it on half-asleep. For this reason, I keep it on my nightstand but would have to wake up enough to reach for it, put it on, turn it on, and then take it back off once done. This is the reason for reducing my review by a second star.

I only wear the wristband at home (I work at home). I would probably wear it other places if it were more streamlined, but the current version is bulky, as other reviewers have noted. I don't use it during workouts as I wouldn't want it to get sweaty (plus, you're supposed to get hot during a workout). I use it for times when I don't necessarily expect to get hot.

I wish it had a battery indicator, but that would require some type of display. I just have to remember to charge it every couple of days. It comes with a small travel bag which is nice.

The bottom line - this works for me. I've been having serious hot flashes all day long, and it makes my job as a teacher rather miserable! Yes, the cuff is bulky, but the benefits for me outweigh the problem. I did contact Kulkuf to tell them that the cuff did get very hot one night, but haven't heard back from the company. I also think the velcro could be more secure. I have had it fall off a few times, and I don't want it to break hitting the ground!
Am I glad I bought it? Yes. Could it continue to be improved? Yes.

Product is bulky and heavy to wear - which I could deal with if it worked - battery did not last very long - trying to return it has so far been a nightmare - no response to emails - the phone number listed on the website is busy all the time - I have yet to figure out how I will be able to get my money back. Do not recommend!

Amazing.works great. I am in winter so I'll see how it goes in summer but so far all good.

The Kulkuf stops my hot flashes within seconds. It is wonderful to have when in tight spaces with others and at night to keep sleeping. When sleeping you have to remember not to block the cooling mechanism else it will get very hot. Very easy and intuitive to use right out of the box.
-The material is rough and not washable so it is not suitable for exercising.
-It is too bulky for typing, but you can keep it close by to use.
-I would recommend a design without hook & loop closure because it will eventually wear out.
-I would be happy to be a Tester for any design changes.

I liked the concept of the bracelet, but it was much too bulky for me. It turned cold quickly but almost to the point of being painful (for a brief second) but after that, it cooled me down. Unfortunately, I returned if because of the bulkiness….waiting for my refund now.

Received my refund quickly. Great customer service, I wish the bracelet was more to my liking, but the return process was easy.

I was super excited to get my kulkuf the first few times I used it I loved it. I wear it everyday but lately when I use it the Velcro doesn’t stick and after I use the blue cooling feature it then gets really hot on my wrist

Very impressed,haven't used my fan that normally keep by my bed. My coworkers was impressed and plan to get one as well.

I was really hoping to be able to leave a 5 star review and say that it really helped with my hot flashes and was the best product. Unfortunately, after wearing it for about 5 days now it hasn't helped at all and I haven't seen any difference. Contacted the company to request a refund Friday and still haven't heard back. Hoping the money back guarantee isn't just a gimmick to get you to buy the product. Glad the product works for some but hasn't worked for me.

The company has reached out and didn't receive my original contact so gave me another contact to get the process going for a refund. The customer service gets a 5 but since the product didn't work for me and I so hoped it would, I am leaving with a one star for the product.

Bought this on June 28. Arrived a 4 days later. It worked once in the night then failed to work. Kulkuf replaced it and so far so good....

Buy this product! I was very skeptical about this product but read through the return policy and thought I can always return it if it doesn’t work. Well I was wrong to be skeptical. THIS WORKS. I have been suffering from just awful hot flashes 5-6 times a day for a couple of years. Over the counter meds work somewhat but not completely and I can’t take HRT. So I carried a little fan with me everywhere. But the Kulkuf is amazing. It really works. When I feel one starting, I quickly put it on and press the button. It stops it before it has a chance to really start. On the coldest setting it can be a little painful on your wrist but it goes away. It turns off automatically after 2 minutes. That’s enough time for it to work. Battery is long lasting and charges very quickly. I highly recommend Kulkuf!

I have a neurological condition. It causes my body to be unable to regulate its temperature normally. I run super hot in the summer and get chilled to the bone in the winter. My symptoms are particularly worse in the hotter months. After doing some research on thermal therapy, I decided to give the Külkuf a try. It has been a GAMECHANGER for me. I use it on each wrist before getting out of bed in the morning. It helps me regulate my temperature better throughout the day. I use it whenever I start to feel overly hot. It's also great after exercise to cool down quickly. I wish I had found this sooner. I no longer have to dread summer weather. I would HIGHLY recommend this device for anyone who has a neurological condition.

I just recived my Kulkuf and I am amamaized by the level of customer service.

1. They mad it to where I can have multiple batteries
2. They customized it to where it does not shut off every 5 minutes
3. I live in America and this was all done by email

I was desperate for help with my hot flashes. I tried KULKUF and was so surprised, not only did it keep me much cooler but it also helped with my anxiety related to always being hot around my colleagues. This is a must for all women with hot flashes. No more fans for me!!!

I use to cramp my refrigerator with a dozen ice packs to get me through the day. Thanks to Kulkuf, I now have a much better way to deal with those nasty hot flashes! Yay technology!
