Horrible and frustrating service

Scheduled fasting blood work online 1 week ahead with LabCorps at Bonita springs in FL. Checked in at 7:30am via app on day of appt.
Nobody at desk. More people waiting, a few get taken in. I waited ONE HOUR, and my name was never called. When someone finally came to the desk, they seemed confused that I hadn’t been called yet, tho were able to confirm I was in their system. Because had other obligations, I could wait no longer, so I had to leave without lab work being done. This is the THIRD such service received at this Labcorps office, and I will never return.

Labcorp Online / Phone Customer Service is Poor

This review is about Labcorp's online and phone services, not about the local office or any of its nurses or other employees who, in my experience, were top notch.

I needed to advise Labcorp Billing that I was appealing Medicare's denial of 3 of my blood tests. It was utterly impossible to get my message thru to Labcorp. I was always directed to online bill payment links, etc, never a live person, not even an option to leave an email message. If your bill is correct, you're okay. But if there is an issue, Labcorp's online / phone customer service is abysmal. Labcorp ought to be ashamed of itself.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Strike that, NO CUSTOMER service! It is impossible to contact customer service if you have an issue other than billing. Don't be fooled by their website help areas.

I had my blood work done, and the results were posted in my portal two days ago. Today they are gone. They disappeared, and there is absolutely no one to contact about this.

This company started off great, but they have since descended to zero customer support.

I am done with them and I will tell my doctor that I refuse to use them.

I made an appointment online, WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!

I made an appointment online, submitted my insurance and set up a time!!! When i got there (Yucca Valley location), I asked one of the ladies behind the desk if I needed to check in since I did everything online, she said no. My appointment was at 11am, by 11;30am I asked another lady at the desk when I would be seen and I wasn't even in the computer!!!!!!! I hate this place, it is ALWAYS crowded and some of the phlebotomists are prejudice. I urge you ALL to go somewhere else!!! WE NEED ANOTHER BLOOD DRAW UP HERE, THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!

Labcorp billing department

I received a bill from them for a test that Medicare told me they cover, however Labcorp sent in the wrong code for the procedure. Problem is the invoice is over 9 months old and the medical clinic has gone out of business and therefore the doctor that ordered the test is gone! Labcorp will not resend the test with the correct code and are just being obstinate about the entire problem. I will not pay for something that is covered and I cannot understand why they will not help a client when it is an impossible situation for said client ( I even provided the correct code for the test) and an easy solution for Labcorp to do! Billing department is worthless, very unhelpful and not even in the States (very hard to understand when talking to them).

In need of more emplyees

Wow!! What a mess!! The poor girl was by herself!! It was packed. And it's always that way!! One person. I went to the Walgreens and it has a lab corp inside. All other lab corps I went to had at least 5 people working there. This one?? Had one girl!! U can tell she was exhausted and overwhelmed!! But she still was kind and professional!! Her name was Sierra. She was awesome!! So sad she has to work under these conditions!! Although I loved her, I'm gonna go to another lab corp that has more people working!! It's a big company so I feel like they should have more people working there!! When that happens?? I will go back to lab corp in Walgreens. Mainly bc of Sierra, who was smiling and nice even though I knew she was overworked!! But they have to get more people before I do!!

Go to LabCorpWent to my LabCorp in my town to do…

Went to my LabCorp in my town to do some bloodwork tried signing in the machine would not pick up the information I rang. The bell sat there for 15 minutes and nobody came out to help. When the next day to another doctor which ordered bloodwork in the town next to me so I went to their LabCorp it’s actually in the doctors building signed in. They wanted me to sign a co-pay paper that I would pay then I went on to look for my results. Finally got an email that my results were ready when I went to login. It said I had to update my insurance. I called both Lab corp no answer from either so I called the 888-522-2677 number and finally spoke to somebody and they don’t understand why these notices are coming out like that so nobody actually knows what is going on. the lady was working from home just what you want with your private information

Scammy company

Back in April, I was referred to a hematologist that is licensed to practice in Texas (their office is in Florida). I live in Texas. My insurance is BCBS Texas. I took the single blood test lab that my hematologist ordered for me to do at LabCorp and did it (in Texas... where I live). Months later in September, LabCorp sent me a $980 bill for the single blood test. They had billed it against BCBS Florida. I called them and asked about it. I did the test in Texas and live in Texas. Why are they billing it to FL? They said it's because my doctor is in Florida. My doctor said she is licensed for Texas and ordered it appropriately. LabCorp doesn't care. They've been hounding me for $980 for one blood test. Ridiculous. I called and they told me I could do a "Financial Hardship Request" and that they won't keep sending me bill reminders while it's being reviewed. I did the Hardship request, e-mailed it back to the place they requested. I even e-mailed to request confirmation they received my application and let them know I still got bills. No reply. It's been months. I got a bill today telling me I had 20 days to pay or I go to collections. $980 for a blood test is a scam and ridiculous. NEVER DO LABCORP.

We deserve better

I went to the Labcorp in Gambrills and had yet another extremely unprofessional experience. When I walked in, there were no other patients waiting and no receptionist at the desk. I said “hello” because no one was in sight, and instead of being greeted, I was yelled at from the back to “sit down,” in the same tone you would use to command a dog. Only later did I realize that the person yelling at me was not only the receptionist but also the one who would draw my blood.

She was rude from the beginning and even admitted she hadn’t had a chance to go to the bathroom, but she took that out on me by raising her voice and snapping at me simply because I said hello loudly enough for someone to hear. When my phone died and I needed help contacting my doctor, she refused to call, refused to even look up the doctor’s number, and offered no support at all.

This came right after a horrible experience at the Labcorp in Bowie, and although the dynamics were slightly different, the level of poor professionalism at the Gambrills office was just as shocking. Between being yelled at for just trying to get someone’s attention, treated like an inconvenience instead of a patient, and denied basic help with contacting my doctor, I left feeling disrespected and unsafe.

I also called Labcorp corporate about these issues and discovered that, just like with the Bowie location, nothing meaningful is done to address the problem. At this point, it is clear to me that there is a serious culture and training issue, not just “one bad day” or “one bad employee.”

As someone with experience in business consulting and professional development, I know this location can do much better. With the right training in empathy, communication, and patient care, you could dramatically reduce complaints like mine and others’ and rebuild patient trust. If leadership is serious about improving the culture and customer experience here, I invite you to contact me to discuss concrete steps to fix these issues.

Sincerely,
A concerned patient and business consultant

Very frustrating experience with…

Very frustrating experience with Labcorp customer service.

I first spoke with a representative named Saura. I had difficulty understanding her due to a language barrier and had to interrupt several times because I was trying to confirm what she was telling me. Instead of helping clarify, she put me on hold and never came back.

I called again and spoke with someone who said their name was Shine, and she hung up on me.

Finally, I spoke with Mary, who was the only helpful person. She slowed down her speaking so I could understand her and was patient.

I work in the medical field myself and would never treat people the way I was treated. Labcorp really needs to do better with customer service training. Patience and clear communication should be the standard, especially when there may be a language barrier.

Labcorp Should Be Embarrassed

Extremely long wait times, kiosk doesn’t work properly so you have to manually input info, no cups for the water dispenser. Labcorp should be embarrassed. Desperately need more staff. The staff is very professional but seem to be fed up with the lack of support from the main office as well.

Appointment or not, you are WAITING at least an hour and a half. I waited 2 hours!!!! I definitely will not be going back!!!!!
