LaCrosse Technology products and service are top notch.

I've had LaCrosse Technology products for years. I currently have 4 weather stations throughout my home. I've found their products to be reliable and accurate. The few times that I've had to call their support dept. they've always been more than helpful in resolving my concern.

Cannot Calibrate, Rain Gauge Wrong & Extra Sensor Displays Data When There is None

1) Cannot calibrate anything. The rain gauge shows .1 inches when it really rained 3 inches! A 2nd rain gauge was attached and had the same problem.
I have 2 station panels that I set next to each other and one says indoor humidity = 18% and the other 30%.

2) Unknown numbers in Extra Sensor. I haven't had an extra sensor for over a year, but it keeps showing numbers. Today, it showed 129.6° 98%. Now, where is it that temperature?

3) Extra Sensor shows data but I have no extra sensor. It was deleted from the display and a few days later, it shows up, again. It's not intuitive how to delete the extra sensor.

If you care about reality, then shop around.

Caveat emptor!

I received a weather display and transmitter for Christmas 2024. When I opened the box I found that the power cord was omitted. La Crosse replaced the missing power cord. When I tried to power up the unit the display was cold and black. I received a defective product right out of the factory sealed shipping container. La Crosse offered me a 45% discount on the purchase of another product. Caveat emptor!

Horrible equipment. Have spent more hours calling for tech support than I have using the equipment.

I bought my first La Crosse weather station about 5 years ago. Over the next 4 years they had to replace rain sensor 3 times, base station once and wind sensor once because they all quit working. Also had multiple times where I couldn't configure or setup phone app and spend many hours on the phone with tech support. Finally, they told me they weren't supporting this equipment anymore and convinced me to buy the latest, which I mistakenly did (model V41). When the outdoor temp sensor died on that one, I thought it was the battery but it turned the sensor was dead, so I replaced it with the new one that came with my new model v41. However, seemed to have caused my Wi-Fi connection to be lost and I've tried 5 times to re-connect, including the factory reset but nothing works. And the factory reset causes you to lose all your historical rain and wind data. And can't get ahold of tech support, probably because they are too busy fielding other failures of their equipment. This is the worst set of weather equipment I've ever seen and would never buy another product from La Crosse again.

Horrible company with horrible products and horrible tech support

Horrible company with horrible products and horrible tech support.
I purchased ne of their professionsal weather stations and have spent hours trying to get it to connect to my home wifi with no luck. I called ech support and waited amost an hour to talk to someone and after 30 minutes the tech told me that he couldn't help me and would have someone from advanced tech support to call me back. They called me back and the call was missed and the person left a message with a case #. When I called back the recording said there was approximately an hour wait time. I hung up. Without getting connected to wifi this station is useless.

The app is horrendous to attempt to…

The app is horrendous to attempt to link to. I have tried multiple times over many hours troubleshooting. It did connect once then disconnected within 24 hrs and I haven’t been able to get it to connect again. Don’t buy if you want to visualise the data on an app.

I called the office but got answering…

I called the office but got answering machine so I left a message along with a detailed message stating my transmitter isn’t picking up outside weather, I left my phone number and name and address so I will be waiting for a callback, then I will rate the company

Does not connect and terrible app

Haven't been able to connect to wifi for years. Great product if you enjoy hours of frustration. The app will have you do the same thing over and over and over and over with no success. Yes, I have the wifi set correctly. It used to actually work!

I ORDERED A TABLE CLOCK ON 02/27/2023. IT WAS DEFECTIVE. UNFORTUNATELY, I MISPLACED THE ORDER NUMBER. AFTER EMAILING THIS RIPOFF COMPANY ABOUT 5 TIMES OF THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THEY SOLD. I KEPT ON GETTING A LINK TO HOW TO SET THE CLOCK. CONVENIENTLY, THEY KEPT ON DOING IT UNTIL THE RETURN DATE, 03/27/2023. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM LACROSS TECHNOLOGY. NOW I AM STUCK WITH DEFECTIVE CLOCK AND OUT OF $35.00.

Worst weather station

Have this for a few years now and from day one the wind gauge would not work they did send me a replacement desk top display the wind gauge would not work still. today I got a new WIFI router now it won't connect to the WIFI called tech support and he advised me that the wind gauge will not work with replacement disp. they sent me and there is nothing they can do about it I would never get one of these again the worst customer service.

Non-Existent Customer Service

I've owned a La Crosse 308-145 weather station for about 18 months. Recently, the temperature and humidity reading have malfunctioned. I checked the website and owners manual, changed out batteries, self-diagnosed, etc, etc. I've phoned the La Crosse support line 3 times with promises of a returned call each time, none of which I've received. I've emailed twice, with no response. Apparently, their business is so good they can afford to ignore and alienate their customers. Good luck with that - I'll be replacing this soon with a competitor's brand for sure - one that's documented to provide customer service! Extraordinarily disappointing!

Excellent Customer Service.

The first one I bought, from Amazon, for only $17 was only a consistent 30 seconds fast. I accepted that so I ordered another. This new one went from 30 seconds fast to 2 minutes. I returned it. What really got me was that in both packages there were no directions, buttons on back with no directions what they do. I put in a battery, not included, and the hands started to turn fast. I put the clock in a westward window and it settled at the correct time 30 seconds fast. I knew to put it in a west window only because I read it in the product reviews. God bless us review contributors! The one I kept is worth the money but WHY no directions in BOTH boxes?? Update. I called Lacrosse and spoke to a pleasant knowledgeable women and told her the above. She was surprised there were no directions. She gave me a repair procedure and stated you need a very new battery. 2025 on the batt was the oldest accepted. She said if this all doesn't work I will send you a new clock without me sending back the 30 second fast one. The procedure did not cure the fastness and I did get a new one with directions as she promised. I will give them another star, 4 stars.

La Crosse Weather station - bad choice.

Bought a La Crosse WS-2801.
First station in were failing. Replaced.
Complained over unstable PC communication - USB stick replaced, but new not better. Complained again but no resolution.
Software hopeless.
After approx 1 year, the station failing again, rain measurement counts up w/o rain.
Later the humidity sensor stopped working.
Now on the way to the scrap bin.
