THE AGENT Alex came out to view property of deceased relative.
He didn't want to go round the house because it still had some furnishings in it.
No other estate agent had raised such an objection.

When we were outside standing on the drive a thistle brushed my ankle and I bent down to rub my leg.
He said, 'Flea?'.
I most definitely did not have a flea, there were no fleas in the property nor about my person, and I took exception to his remark, which I considered to be most inappropriate and offensive, to say the least. If I had had a man standing next to me and not been an elderly, vulnerable woman on my own, I doubt for one second he would have dared make such an impolite remark. That tells you something about the sort of people Lambert & Foster employ and about this man's moral rectitude.

As two friends of mine stated when I related this, 'Bang out of order. How does he expect you to want to sell a property via his agency when he makes such a derogatory remark. You don't speak to potential clients in this most rude manner by asking them if they have a flea.'

I had two houses to sell and one to buy, which he knew. So he did his firm out of enough commission to pay his wages for about a year I imagine.

The experience was some years ago but has remained with me because it was such a disgusting event.

My father was a business man, a professional man, who always showed courtesy and taught us to be courteous in business dealings. This man had no courtesy about him whatsoever and no consideration, he was a cretin.

Sally-Anne was so helpful from the moment we walked through the door! She kept us and our buyer informed all the way through the process of selling our house. She was always willing to help and advise. We would definitely recommend Lambert & Foster.

A massive thankyou to Sally and the team for making our purchase of our first property as straightforward as it can be, answering all the questions we had and even chasing up the solicitors (ours and the vendors) and our vendor to get us updates and ultimately push it over the finish line.
