The oysters were perfect. All things considered, they are also reasonably priced. BUT $1/oyster to shuck each one. That’s just not right.

Regularly a very good fish shop, this time though...
Last time I got the tuna akami for sashimi purposes, the cut was perfect, fresh and smooth. This time, though, there was so many fibers in the akami cut that when I tried to slice it for a sashimi serve, it all cracked down... I'm disappointed, once the price is higher than the regular one.
The biologic salmon was good.
Salmon caviar was also good.

This was a gift for my daughter's birthday
This was a gift for my daughter for her 35th birthday party (she lives in Montreal). I live in the Bahamas but was able to order everything online and then spoke with Alex at La Mer (and other members of his team) to make sure everything would be ready for a late Saturday pickup. I got a call from my daughter the following day to thank me for the most wonderful seafood at her birthday. Everyone at the party was raving about how delicious the oysters, lobster and crab legs were. Thank you everyone at La Mer for creating such a memorable birthday for my daughter.
