High quality at affordable price

I wear glasses for many years and the biggest inconvenient for me is choosing between prescription glasses and sunglasses during the sunny days.
An usual 2in1 pair can be very expensive and not that practical though, so I am happy that the glasses I took from Lance can meet my both needs at a very affordable price.
This is why I`ve decided to take a second pair from Lance, very good quality for the prescription glasses, the sun clip is really practical and now I can match the frames I have with all my outfits.

Lost money !!!

Lost money !!!! I ordered my prescription sunglasses through their kickstarter campaign. They sent the wrong prescription and wrong lens package. They asked me to re-send the prescription which I did immediately. After multiple excuses for not receiving the glasses, they stopped answering my e-mails. A third party (Trustpilot) asked me to send in the resons for my bad review so that the company can "fix the problem" (which I did) and I have heard nothing back. Very poor customer service when they take your money and never ever follow up when the customer receives nothing!! Signed ;Alex von Kleist

Just received my pairs I ordered on their website, perfect fit and excellent quality. They arrived in no time. My prescription is on top! Really recommend , far beyond any online glasses i have been purchasing until now. Definitely recommend!

Very happy with my 1st Lance pair of eyeglasses!

Just today, I got my first pair of Lance Rx glasses. I got a pair of the Haussmann Bold - Crystal Matte - and they look awesome. The Rx also feels accurate.

I was initially concerned about buying from Lance because of some negative reviews about the glasses not arriving or arriving very late. As such, I decided to reach out to the folks at Lance and literally told them I was concerned about ordering from them because of the negative reviews but that I really liked the style of their glasses. Someone named Christina replied very quickly and confirmed that they had had issues with shipping early in the pandemic but that those issues had since been resolved. She was right.

I ordered my 1st pair of Lance glasses on January 8 and received them today, January 14. Of note, I also ordered from an American-based company (ClassicSpecs.com) on the same day (Jan 8) and those glasses have yet to arrive - they are scheduled for deliver on Jan 19.

I am personally definitely going to continue buying from Lance in the future. I highly recommend them.

I ordered my first two pairs on…

I ordered my first two pairs on kickstarter and after a while I received them and they look great, feel great and provide an excellent clarity. I have -6 and -7 for viewing the distance so I went for thinner glasses. The view is great in all corners of the glasses, something that often falls short since you have such 'thick' lenses. I did have one issue with one of the metal frames: corrossion. But I am very happy to say that Christina was wonderful in her customer approach and she gave me a brand new frame as a solution. Great glasses, great price and great customer service. I have read some bad reviews and only a few have merit. This is a company trying to push forward to offer more folks a good valued product at a decent price. Keep it up and launch the European platform soon ;).

Finally my problem is solved !!!

This is what I've wrote after receiving my order and it was the truth, after +/- 1/2 year of negotiating with Lance co-operator Cristina I finaly received a brand new pair of glasses which wasn't scratched and was in verry good shape!! so if you have some problems with Lance don't hesitate to negotiate with them to get it right !! "I wrote a bad 1 star review with foto's of my damaged glasses, it would be 0 starts if possible, and lance reply me on whatsapp, I received many promisses from Karim but none of them has been fullfilled, stil have 1 pair of damaged glasses, as reply from Karim on Trustpilot I received a message that Lance doesn't recognize me as a customer !!! but on whatsapp he asked me to remove his mobile number !! He also replied me on trustpilot with the message that I refused to pay the customs but I never received my order before because Lance wrote me that my order was lost so Lance send me another pair but fully scratched, frame and glasses !! sorry Lance but your service isn't what it should be, so readers of Trustpilot,, don't order glasses at Lance !!" So now I'm satisfied !! Thanks Lance Cristina !!

I have had a pair of Lance Glasses…

I have had a pair of Lance Glasses since they started in business. Took quite a long time to get the first pair and there was a pronounced ripple in the coating on one lens of that original pair. Took some time, maybe a few weeks to get the repaired glasses back but since they were repaired, I have liked the glasses a lot and the prescription has been accurate. I ordered a second pair recently and these came through without a hitch.Quality seems good. I ordered these without the photochromatic feature as I wanted a second pair without that feature. The new glasses are 'haussmann bold' and I like the design and quality. I think Lance has done a good job of improving all their ordering protocols. My only complaint is that from the time I received notice of completion to the time the glasses were delivered it took two, possibly three, weeks. A week of that time the finished glasses seemed to be sitting in UPS's China warehouse? Lance could improve their communication with online clients. Otherwise, great glasses at a good price.

Warby Parker upgrade

Usually I shop pretty cheaply for glasses, but this time decided to splurge a little on Lance. I got the Havana frames, and had a perfect experience. The frames came quickly; are well-made; and get a ton of compliments. They're better-made than the several Warby Parker frames I've had, and more stylish. I'm surprised by all the bad reviews, and super happy with my experience — I'll order from Lance again!

Glasses are ok; experience was terrible

Glasses are ok - they look much nicer online than they are in real life. They're not bad, just ok. BUT, the customer support and experience was terrible. They're very non responsive and not helpful. There were months delays on my order and it was painful trying to get updates from them. Honestly, it's not worth the hassle - take your business elsewhere, there's lots of good options.

An experience quite contrary to some of the negative reviews I've seen

I'm a bit surprised to see a lot of the reviews on here. I first backed Lance Glasses on either Kickstarter or IndieGoGo (I no longer remember which one). I got myself a lovely pair of glasses which are round, slim with a teal rim.
I loved the pair so much that I ended up ordering another pair as well. I think they're the classic wayfarer in matt green.
I absolutely love the glasses and so do many of the people I meet who usually compliment them.
They are, by no means, cheap! But then again neither are Rayban or any of the other big brands. I would much rather pay a higher price to a startup that's trying to do something nice than to help an already big company take that one step closer to monopolising the market.
I could not afford the sun clip this time but I'm pretty confident that I'll buy another pair and will probably get them then :)

Honest folks creating truly the best frames at affordable prices. Even my local optician was amazed by the quality and asked me where did I purchase the frame from.

Purchased 2 via indeigogo platform and they fulfilled the pledge despite the CoVID situation causing delays and higher cost. Kudos to the team for trying and doing their best!

Highly recommend to anyone who is considering a purchase of Lance frames.

Very slow and unreliable

Update: I received my glasses finally, and the quality seems good. I have improved the score from 1 to 3 stars and it seems that this is not a scam operation. Still incredibly slow with poor customer service.

Be warned - these guys are scammers. I ordered two pairs in the Indie GoGo campaign. They first look pretty affordable but when you want prescription lenses you have to pay much more (only after making the first payment). Then they came with another ransom of $25 to ship them without delay once they were apparently ready - mind you that shipping was included in the first payment. I stopped paying at that point and they continue to say that the shipping is delayed due to increased costs.

A short explanation : The prescription is included in the price, you can of course opt for option for thinning , blue light for your photochromic, etc...
It is very important that you take reference with the price you would pay for the same pair at your regular optician.
Regarding the shipping : We asked you if you wish to get your parcel faster so we can opt for a courier such as DHL. Or wait for the prices to come back to normal ( the price you paid )as you will understand that a startup can't absorb the sudden price increasing imposed by courier companies in the COVID period. This is only for the campaign.
For the E-shop, we signed a contract with UPS directly from our Laboratory that ensure the delivery between 48H and 72hours once your pair is produced.

This does not even deserve 1 Star (Updated)

Update: After almost a year of waiting the customer support finally came through with a solution and offered me a chance to order the 2 glasses again. They arrived now and a really nice. Glasses are 5 stars, but with everything that happened before 3 stars are the maximum. If delivery and delay problems are gone now, the glasses are recommandable.

This does not even deserve 1 Star. Look at their crowdfunding campaigns. So Many people are still waiting on their products and the support by them is a joke. Buy from one of the many other shops online, but not this one if you actually want to receive glasses! I was told my glasses are shipped, but they never arrived. The only real "help" by the support was giving me the Email + phone number of the delivery service that i already got online. Would have loved to try the glasses, but i seems nothing will ever arrive. (1st parcel of my life that wasn't delivered in Germany)

Edit to response: Yes, the tracking says it was delivered. But as explained in the ticket i have on your website (last answer was 2 months ago), i was on holidays during that time and it was not delivered, nor did they leave a note or anything.
Contacting SFExpress resulted in nothing, since they just do not bother to answer to anything. I do not even know if they have their people delivering in Germany, or use a different provider...

I had bought 6 frames (3 designs) already from them and going for more, I hope they stay as long as the traditional companies cause they would be my only frames from now on, so many options for shapes, colors, and glass. so excited about their e-shop and what design they will bring up with next

Extremely deceived - no way to treat customers

I had bought two pairs of glasses in last year's Indiegogo campaign. Their delivery was due around April-beginning of May this year. Due to Covid-related complication, the shipment was held for a long time somewhere in between, and the tracking code wouldn’t help. It was finally shipped to my Belgian address three months later, in July, during a time I was not in Belgium. The Belgian post resend the package to the seller if it is kept unclaimed for two weeks.

My shipment was thus resent in Lance's direction – in July. Since then, I have written to them multiple times to know where the glasses where, always receiving inconclusive answers (or no answers at all), and the original tracking code is no longer active. My glasses are most likely lost somewhere and they don’t even bother to answer me.

This is no way to treat a customer. And a small but loyal one: my first purchase from Lance (the first Kickstarter campaign) was lost somewhere in the Italian mail ( I was living in Italy at the time). It happens, I told myself. I’ve bought two more glasses and they arrived. And I liked them. So, I bought two more glasses, again, with the new campaign. But with this shipment - most likely lost for good - it’s three glasses out of five that I have not received; and no reimbursement, no solution, scarce attention was all I got on their behalf. Not once a reimbursement was offered, a reselling of a new, identical product promised, a way to intercept these shipment provided.

Honestly, a disappointment, and not a small one. For the glasses themselves are really nice and I wear them all of the time. Will not happen again though.

Second time buying Lance glasses

Second time buying Lance glasses, the first time was on a crowdfunding website, this time on their own website.
Could not be happier with the quality of the glasses as well as customer service.
Have got the smart metal glasses both times with prescription, not had a problem with them at all.
Had to change the courier address before it shipped out, with which customer service were very helpful about via email.
Would definitely recommend buying a good, quality pair of glasses to anyone I know.
