Faulty Device.....maybe?...

I bought this IPL Device about 6 weeks ago and at first the device was working fine but then recently I plug it in to use it and it works for about 4 - 5 minutes at most then the light turns red only and shuts off.....I haven't even used it every week as I went on holiday but now it doesn't seem to work.....no idea if the product even works but I can't find out if it won't stay on longer than 5 mins!!!

I see lots of bad reviews saying people didn't get their money back and how you can't return it or even get a new replacement and I think to myself that I've wasted a lot of money(and it is a lot of money to me) when I could have bought a different one elsewhere or just not bother at all!!

I've been using it on my legs since the end of April and have gradually increased the intensity. I've never gotten professional laser hair removal, so I can't compare, but my hair is barely noticeable now, and I shave about every two weeks. I'm currently on level 5.

DISGRACEFUL COMPANY POLICIES which im sure are not legal.fe

No change in hair growth

So after receiving this as a Christmas gift, I tried it out, but the button depressed & so it wouldn’t work. It also kept over heating & switching off (before the button stopped working, obvs)
I contacted customer services & corresponded with Anastasia, who was really lovely & very helpful. However, I’ve been using it every week since my new one arrived (January) & there is absolutely no difference in hair growth. Sadly 8 days too late for a refund 🥲

Spend your money with a company that abides by consumer law!

Buyers beware! In England the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 state that goods purchased online, if you change your mind, can be returned for a full refund. This company hides behind a complicated and unlawful 90-day guarantee which in English consumer law restricts your legal rights as a buyer. I've been trying to return the hair removal device for three months without success. Letters sent to their registered UK address have been returned unopened. This means that a consumer is unable to recover their money via the UK small claims court route. UK Consumer Advice have reported the company to trading standards and Companies House. The owner of this company resides in Russia which means International Consumer Advice are unable to assist. Do your research and buy from a reputable company that abides by consumer contract law or be prepared to lose your hard earned money.

I bought this based on their reviews on…

I bought this based on their reviews on their website not checking trust pilot. I used just once so I’m hoping that it’s working. I will come back here in 12 weeks as per the description of their product to give a review based on the actual performance. This product should work on me as my skin is white and dark hair and I would be quite disappointed if it doesn’t as this is my first laser hair removal. I’m already in process of reporting to PSS, financial ombudsman, consumer ftc gov for a LED mask which misleads the customers based on fake reviews which have been removed from trust pilot, and other issues with it. I also want to add that it’s a bit concerning that with the glasses provided by them I can’t look where I put the laser as my eyes are hurting so I have to look other way but even looking other way it gives me headaches for some reason
I’m really hoping this product works because it wasn’t cheap either

12 weeks has passed since I start using it on my my legs, arms, armpits and brazilian. So my hair did not disappear as per the advert nor as per other reviews on their website. I can see reduction for sure but not gone! I stopped using their glasses as it was just hurting me and bought some glasses from Amazon. It is not bad a product but not amazing like I read. I think I need to use it for at least another 12-15 weeks for my hair to disappear. Like I said above my skin is white and black hair and in fact not very very hairy so I was expecting more reduction but it is what it is now. I will continue to use it. Would I recommend it? Yes with real expectations and no based on 12 weeks advertising

Total scam, purchased the product and when opening found the item instructions which tell you not to use if you do not meet the criteria. Contacted customer services within a day or so of receiving the delivery and they refused to return the product saying it was opened. Asked about their 90 day guarantee and they said that didn’t apply in this case and that is only of you use the product and find it doesn’t work. No 14 day money back guarantee either! Total disgrace. Should clearly mention who the product is not suitable for when purchasing as no point mentioned in the box which you have to open. As I said total scam!!

Illegal company acts do not purchase here

If I could give zero stars I would they are a company practicing illegal acts. Do not purchase from them. I bought their ipl laser hair removal hand set and used it as instructed for the 12 weeks. After completion I found that it didn't work not even a little and was starting to burn my skin and even the device was breaking down. So naturally I contacted them as they claimed they had a 90 day money back guarantee. However I was told they would not refund me unless I sent a proof picture. Being as the area I used the device was my genitals I told them I would not be sending those kinds of pictures. I study law and so I know full well that I have every right to a refund under the circumstances,in fact I sent them the exact rights under the law in email but apparently they would rather get sued. I'm happy to do just that so that others don't get scammed like this. Please if you have experienced the same know that they are liars and you can get your money back.

I got a migraine using it first time…

I got a migraine using it first time even with glasses and trying not to look at device. I was unable to determine which part of my body I was pointing it at because I have ADHD. I wrote to customer service to explain that the product didn't suit me. They refused return referring to the strict return policy. I feel misled because on the website- it says 'not happy, no problem', and it really is a problem- I can't use the device twice a week and take a picture for 6 weeks as required because I will suffer migraines. This - apparently, is not enough to be an exception to the rule. Also, 14 day cooling off period should not be irrelevant by taking the the plastic off the box- that is the first I have ever seen that. Feels like I've been misold this item as I was under the impression I had the right to change my mind and get a refund. But that is simply not the case.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

It's really difficult to write this review but having tried and failed with customer services I feel there is no other option but to warn others about my experience. I am of mixed race heritage and my complexion as stated on their charts would be deemed as warm tan. I read the instructions from back to front to ensure I was using it safely. I started on the lowest setting, and raised it by one every week without any uncomfortable feels and was hopeful it was working as described, until I got to week 5. I raised the setting to 4 had no uncomfortable feelings and within a day or so I noticed markings up and down my legs where the device had been used. I raised this with customer service and they told me to wait until the markings disappeared and I could resume use. Didn't give me any causes for concern.

Well im now 2 months later and the markings I am now considering as scarring as they are still there. Raised again with customer service as at this point I think I've been pretty patient, to be told the science behind ipl vsn mean melanin absorption which can result in adversely affecting darker skin tones (again my skin isn't particularly dark). They thanked me for sharing my experience as my experience I'd apparently valuable to them!!! However, I am left looking like a tiger with no refund or even partial refund and a machine I cannot use!!! Total waste of money and left with scarring despite me ensuring I used the device exactly as described!! The refuse to accept any responsibility for the damage that has been caused by this item.

If you are considering I would suggest you steer clear!! The reviews on their website are all positive and I would therefore suggest questionable.

From our records, it appears that your skin tone, as indicated on the skin tone chart, is suitable for using the IPL device. Our correspondence and your review suggest that you had no issues until intensity level 3. However, after using the device on level 4, you experienced marks.

Let me clarify the two situations where marks can appear: 1) the intensity level is too high for your skin sensitivity, and the marks disappear after a couple of days; 2) the intensity level is too high for your skin colour, and the device starts affecting melanin in the skin rather than hair follicles. It seems your situation aligns more with the second scenario.

Awful company to deal with

What an awful company to deal with. Returning goods to them is made to be impossible or with cost. They use a tactic to avoid refunds by suggesting that the package has a seal which you would have broken to view the product, the package doesn’t have any such seal!. Under regulations, you are entitled to view the product but they will fight this and make the process unnecessarily difficult.

I am within 14 days of receipt of the goods and entitled to cancel my contract of purchase. The product is unused and in its original packaging without damage.

In reply to the reply. This matter is now with trading standards and the box and packaging arrived without this plastic wrap as suggested. The company is refusing to provide a return address.
