We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay in the Penthouse and I hope the SUP lesson went well for you after all the wind surfing.
I am so sorry that you missed a dishwasher in the Ocean View Penthouse. There is of course a washing machine as detailed on our information for this holiday home. Along with wifi and satellite TV, DVD and a safe.
Regarding your comment about the toilet. Firstly, I can only apologise for any inconvenience. I know you reported it to the office but it was Dia de Canarias - our holiday as we gained autonomy from Spain. I am aware that one of our maintenance men called on the Monday and we were unaware of a continuing problem.

I am so pleased that the Eco Village felt like home and we all made you feel welcome. There are so many families who stay with us and return so we see the children grow year on year.
The play park, the animals and sleeping in a yurt is perfect for children of all ages :)

Needs some updating/tweaks
Whilst we had a nice time, there are a few basic things which could have made a big difference.. we were in the eco yurt with our two young children. This meant that we’d be sitting outside at the table/chairs or sunloungers after they’d gone to bed. However, there is no lighting so we either had to sit in the dark or go to bed by about 9pm. There is also not enough shade provided around the yurt - just one umbrella fixed to the table - with two young children this is just not enough. I also think there should be more shade in the communal area & playground - most of the beds were in full sun throughout the day and there’s no shade in the playground. We were there in May and it was too hot for the kids in the middle of the day. In the kitchen there was no cupboard space to put any food away which means we had lots of ants. It would be have been nice to see some more healthy options available in the honesty shop, such as fresh fruit and veg and kid friendly ice creams not full of e-numbers. I also hadn’t been clear from the website that it’s right on a main road - it’s a very busy road you have to cross to get to the beach (not a wonderful beach). It’s also a shame that you had to pay €7 to watch a kids movie - I think it would be nice to show a movie each week for kids for free (they can pay for snacks if wanted). It would also be great to update the toy box for the kids (we didn’t bring any toys as we were told there were some there), but in the toy box it was mostly blankets etc and a couple of toys - certainly not enough to go round. We also had a car and had specified what car seats we needed as part of our stay, but had to fit these ourselves - not the most fun thing to do on arrival after a long journey. Whilst it felt a little tired, it has lots of potential, generally had a nice atmosphere and these small things would have made a massive difference to us.

I have taken advice from Josh regarding the points you have raised.
Outside lighting will be installed shortly so you would be able to sit outside in the evening whilst the children slept in the yurt.
In the past fresh produce was available in the honesty shop but rarely taken advantage of so it was shelved. The local supermarket and garage in Arrieta do stock seasonal fruit and vegetables but I will look into the cost of purchasing a small glass fronted chiller for the honesty shop.
Regarding shady areas. The sun rises over the sea and sets over the mountains behind the Eco Village. The communal area has the large day bed that is fully covered and often a place where families with little people retire to during the heat of the day as well as the lounge area. The pool its self is in the shade of the wall during the late afternoon.
New toys have been purchased for the toy box and we are also looking into suitable board games to provide for families to enjoy.
As for having to fit the car seats please be assured that your experience absolutely should not have happened and this has been addressed.

Wonderful properties and a fantastic, friendly team
A really personalised, friendly service and they have some wonderful properties - I stayed in a yurt in Finca de Arrieta years ago and we have just had 2 weeks in Driftwood apartment in Punta Mujeres, which is beautiful, in a stunning location right on the seafront. We go to sleep listening to the waves crashing against the shore - it’s idyllic. We’ve also visited a few of their villas with a view to staying in one next year - we were spoilt for choice. For the first time ever, I’ve booked another holiday before this one is even over, which shows how good they are!
Before our stay, Vicky and Karen in the office were so helpful and welcoming and Renata, the concierge, has been great from start to finish - nothing seems too much trouble and she’s always smiling. Thank you for a wonderful holiday - can’t wait for next year.

Great location, lovely stay. We were met at the airport by a charming English speaking executive driver. The Beach House property was stylishly furnished and well equipped, stocked with a bottle of water and essentials plus a couple of nice extra touches such as an honesty bar! All the staff were very welcoming and we joined in the Paella Night at The Finca which was great. We had a wonderful stay in an incredible location, right near the beach, restaurants and shops in Costa Teguise and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Recommended.

Great place
"Something completely different", our taxi driver from the airport had told us, and that proved true: a great holiday experience with exceptional accommodation, wonderful surroundings and always helpful and cheerful staff. Enjoyed tremendously. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

We had a lovely week at the Finca. Hard to get a more young children friendly venue. The pool being shaded, sun lounger areas and communal space with honesty fridge (juice/cold lager etc) very much on hand is a real winner. The paella evening is fun, tasty and great value for money. Amazing hen-do weekend with Lanzarote Retreats
I don’t even know where to start with Lanzarote Retreats! In a nutshell they’re absolutely brilliant.
I booked their Vila Casa Volcan for my hen weekend and I couldn’t have been any happier with it.
The decor and arrangement of the whole Vila was beautiful and perfectly clean. Plus the staff that work begins the scenes are brilliant at their job- you can tell they love what they do.
A big mention to Tila, who was so accommodating and friendly through our whole trip! He is a great asset to the company.
We have all had such a wonderful trip and can’t thank everyone enough. We have made long- lasting memories and would love to visit again in the future.

We have just come back from our best…
We have just come back from our best family holiday yet at Finca de Arrietta! We stayed in their Eco Twin Yurt and were really impressed with the set-up and feel of the Finca. Super helpful staff and lovely vibe. Our kids adored the pool, which we feared would be too small, but was in fact perfect for kids, while we could relax and read our books in the sun. Lots to explore on the island too. Would definitely recommend it!
