La Redoute is not what it once was
I have been a La Redoute customer for years and always viewed them as a reputable company. However I ordered something 2 months ago, it never arrived, and after numerous emails I still have not been given a refund or replacement. It's shocking to me that a customer should be out of pocket for 2 months. I have had to continually chase this up rather than La Redoute taking responsibility, and they have consistently missed deadlines and failed to keep me updated. I can't believe I am still chasing this and out of pocket 2 months later. The company is not what it once was.

Refuse to replace damaged items
Yesterday, I got two items and one of them was damaged in transport.
Customer support suggested that I should return the item if I don’t like it and order a new one. They refuse to replace the item.
This is clearly against the EU laws and I’m about to involve Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM).
Will never order here again…
After reading Trustpilot reviews, I still decided to order a cabinet for my record player (January 10). Received a confirmation, then nothing. The status stayed “in preparation” for weeks. No response to emails or chat.
Called on February 9: the item was likely out of stock. I was advised to request a refund and place a new order. I requested a refund. That same day and the next, I received a message from La Redoute saying the item had been shipped but was “stuck” with Dynalogic. Shortly after, I got conflicting updates: first to be patient, then as almost being shipped, then back to “in preparation”.
I requested cancellation again and received my refund on February 12.
I will never order here again.

Very bad experience
Very bad experience, after 5 weeks of waiting for a 200€ fourniture, that is in stock, they tell me that they don’t know where it is, and it’s the delivery company that has it somewhere.
Zero offer to send a new one, zero gift card. Only solution they have is a refund.

We were reluctant to order because of bad reviews, but we took a chance. Items are as described, we are overall happy with our purchase. Only issue is that the courier canceled delivery at the end of the day, but we could still reschedule to the next day.

I do not recommend to order here. OVER A MONTH ago I placed an order, but still haven't received anything. I understand that the holidays are busy, but the longest delivery period for my small order would be 8 working days. So even with a slight delay of a week, it should not be this long. I tried to reach out to customer service in multiple ways (per e-mail, per contact form and whatsapp) and unfortunately no one has responded. I do not recommend to order here!

No way to have contact with customer…
No way to have contact with customer service. Package lost, carrier says they have not been delivered with the info for the package and La Redoute wont come back with information. Never buying from them again.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Have been teying to get a reply for over a week, following an order that was credited from my account but not confirmed. Finally, I got a reply via the app that the order was delayed. Only to be ignored for several more days. Status of the order is still unclear. Would be highly appreciated if someone could simply reply to my questions.
Fraudulent or incompetent - likely both
I ordered two wool rugs from La Redoute Luxembourg on 30 November (order #20253345275451), based on a clear and repeated promise on their website: delivery in 3–5 days. That promise was still displayed weeks later.
What followed was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had with an online retailer.
For over two weeks, my order stayed stuck in “preparing” status, with no delay notice, no revised delivery date, and no proactive communication. I repeatedly tried to contact customer service via every channel offered (contact form, chat, WhatsApp, email). Almost all messages were ignored. The only response I received was a meaningless template reply saying the order would be shipped “when ready”.
Then things got worse.
On 12 December, my account suddenly showed the order as “shipped”, even though no carrier actually had the parcel. I then received a series of contradictory and demonstrably false delivery notifications:
BPost announced a delivery date.
Then claimed a failed delivery attempt — which never happened.
The final carrier (Dynalogic) confirmed at the same time that they had never received the parcel.
The delivery address was a company with permanent reception, making the “failed attempts” claim even more absurd.
Eventually I was told the parcel would be returned to sender after “multiple delivery attempts” that clearly never occurred.
All evidence points to one simple fact: the order never left La Redoute’s warehouse, yet tracking updates were used to shift responsibility to the customer and the carriers.
To summarize:
- blatantly misleading delivery promises,
- false or fabricated shipping updates,
- and a customer service department that does nothing, explains nothing, and takes no ownership.
Even now, the website continues to advertise “order before 21/12, guaranteed delivery for Christmas”.
This is a system designed to keep selling with attractive promises, while leaving customers powerless once something goes wrong.
Avoid this fraudulent and incompetent Mickey Mouse company at all costs.
Absolutely terrible custom service
Absolutely terrible custom service. They do not get in touch, throughout any given contacts. I need to return a large bed. Which is done by scheduling a pick up. On the website it says pick up is scheduled via email or call. Via email no response since 30st of November. Via phone it’s waiting and then just hang up on you.
I left a review on Trust pilot. They replied on it. But still didn't get in touch with me about a return.

You can find better price for quality somewhere else

I’d probably not buy from here again due to this. definitely overpriced, you can find same quality in somewhere for reasonable prices. packages are also not properly packed (only in plastic), both orders came roughly handled and with holes in plastic..
