Great rules, great customer support.

Been working with Lark for 5 months, passed challenge in August.

I've found that prop firms that have prices that are competitive with Lark come with a bunch of rules that ensure you won't make decent money or will breach your account trying to make decent money.

Lark is different.

The rules are flexible enough to support effective trading performance - if you are good at trading and use decent risk management, you will get paid.

Customer support is great - Skiller is on the ball 24/7 and he is supported by other staff - I've never waited more than 48 hours for a response/resolution. There has been an instance when I breached my account by trading news, but because my stop loss wasn't honoured due to lack of liquidity at the price, my account was un-breached and reinstated (they don't do this for everyone, but this is an example of how they go the extra mile for their customers, at no benefit to themselves!!)

No bull-crap or excuses when it comes to payouts.

For balance I will provide a negative - The only negative experience I've had while trading with these guys is that the functionality of the DX Trade app on android phones is abysmal, but that's not on Lark and there are other platforms available through Lark.

FAke promises

So they have a promotion where you share their link from their site Pip munch, then after 5 successful referrals they will give you a free 5k 3 step account. I completed the task and it's been a month. All they say is wait, wait, wait. I was scammed beautifully.

Pip munch is a great service but false promises is worse.

Edit: After this review they contacted me and provided the credentials for the account. Well that's not going to change the past, so I ain't gonna change my review. I feel for everyone going through the same.

Emmanuel, it's nunfortunate to see you leave a 1-star review even after we sent out the account, just a couple of hours after you left the review.

The reason you didn't receive it is that Pip Munch is no longer offering the referral giveaway campaign. However, we made an exception for you and issued the account.

Regardless, we wish you the best of luck.

Kind regards,
Matt, CEO

Lark Funding review

I have had a couple of accounts with Lark funding, unfortunately lost it due to my own trading mistakes, however I don’t think that I will choose any other prop firm when getting another account. Lark funding’s prices are competitive and if I had any questions their support was always available to help.

The spread is good

The spread is good, trade execution speed is awesome. It's just that 6% max drawdown is too small for the 1-step challenge. Maybe I should have gone for the 2-step. Also, no resets when you're in drawdown.

🏆BEST prop firm out there bar none

Clear and uncomplicated rules, amazing communication & super fast payouts.

Lark is without doubt THE best prop I have ever used (I have used approx 6 x other firms and spent a few thousand on challenges to date) but Lark as I’ve shared below give you the VERY best chance of succeeding in the prop firm game.

🏆 Little milestone for me today - to date I have had 4 x payouts now in total from other prop firms in last year or so (E8, ftmo, Alpha, 5ers) but NEVER managed to get more than 1 x payout before then blowing the account.

Today with LARK I requested my SECOND payout, I did it haha!

Thanks Matt & team again for what is imo THE best prop firm in the game 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Unfortunately Lark isn't what they are cracked up to be

Unfortunately, I have lost my $200K live account due to the “All-or-Nothing Rule.” I was using one of the older accounts that requires a buffer. The trade in question lost just 0.8% of the account, which is very low risk. However, due to unforeseen slippage, my margin utilisation rose to 92%. This, combined with the lower leverage applied to indices (I trade US30), flagged me as a risk to Lark Funding. As a result, my account was immediately closed, and I was not given the opportunity to start an appeal process.

Following this, communication from Lark Funding deteriorated. Where responses previously took around two days, they began taking over ten days. Furthermore, I was not allowed to withdraw the remaining $2,640.41 in my account, which had been earned legitimately and not under the “All-or-Nothing” policy or any infringement.

I am completely disappointed in the way this situation has been handled. Matt has not acted professionally throughout. I have offered to prove that my trades are copied from my personal master account, and if my prop account history is reviewed, it will clearly show that I have been trading responsibly and with low risk throughout my time with Lark Funding. There have only been two occasions out of all my trades where I opened more than one position, and I have never lost more than 1% in a single trade.

I was under the impression that for accounts opened prior to the new rule changes, traders would keep all profits made, even if a breach occurred. The “All-or-Nothing Rule” is not clearly defined, and it seems that Lark Funding is able to apply rules and penalties arbitrarily once they invoke this infringement.

I requested my money to be paid, after which I would have walked away quietly. However, after much persistence, I was eventually informed that due to the rule breach, no payout would be made. This is both unacceptable and unprofessional. To date, my most recent email has not received a response.

It is a shame that a company which claims to pride itself on good service has chosen to treat its traders with such disregard, disrespect, and poor service once I was pushed out.

Reply from Lark Funding

Hi Jonathan,

We appreciate you sharing your feedback, and we want to clarify the facts surrounding your account.

You received $7,110 across 5 successful payouts before our risk team made the decision to close your account on August 29th due to excessive risk metrics — specifically, 93% margin utilization across multiple accounts.

To be clear:

We do not ban traders for a single trade above 20% margin.

The issue arises when the majority of trades consistently run at extremely high margin levels — in your case over 90% — as this creates an All-or-Nothing risk profile that falls outside our risk tolerance.

To address a few specific points:

Slippage was not the cause. Even if slippage contributed to a single trade, it remains each trader’s responsibility to manage risk so their account never comes close to breaching firm-wide limits.

Multiple firms flagged this style. We noticed you left a nearly identical review for Traders With Edge, who also cited excessive risk. It is not a coincidence that more than one firm identified the same concerns with this trading approach.

Clear rules, consistent enforcement. Our margin utilization guidance is posted publicly on our website and applies to all traders equally. High-risk, high-drawdown trading puts both the trader and the firm at unnecessary risk, which is why we enforce this rule consistently.

While we value every trader we work with — and in your case processed over $7,000 in payouts — we must enforce our risk policies to protect the integrity and sustainability of our programs.

We wish you the best in your future trading endeavors.

— Matt, CEO
