Speedy and great quality work

Speedy and great quality work. Took my corduroy jacket in on Saturday for sleeves to be shortened. Measured carefully the adjustment needed. Collected on Monday😊. Great work and attention to detail, such as moving the position of the cuff button. Very happy.

Botched Alteration extremely rude customer service

I Brought two designer items for the alterations.

I was very clear from the beginning what I wanted.

I have spent considerable time at the shop for the measurements and explaining them how I wanted the end result to look.

They have agreed that they will do the requested alterations.

When I arrived to pick up my items I genuinely was disappointed with the quality of execution.

Even the employee of the company admitted an extremely poor quality workmanship. On the top - the stitches were misaligned, the zipper part of the top showed previous stitches and the holes and the dress alteration was completely off.

I asked what happened, they have said that the lady which took the measurements and carried out the work left the country and another employee would fix the issue.

When I went to pick up the items a second time the top alteration was fine, however the dress alteration again was completely wrong. The length and the frills of the dress were misaligned. Some additional material was added and stitches again were overlapping one another and were misaligned.

They again have said that they will clean the stitches, remove the extra material and correct the length of the dress. This was not the case on my following visit. At that point one of the employees (Amie) took the matter in her hands and took the measurements, took pictures and asked to come at a certain date.

Unfortunately I was away so I was unable to pick up the dress on a given date and I am grateful that they did not dispose of it.

However, when I went to pick the dress it had a hole and again misaligned stitches with some residue of extra material.

I genuinely felt frustrated and disappointed. Least I was expecting was after all these corrective works a dress without a hole with again misaligned stitches.

The employee Amy has agreed that the hole should have been fixed. When I pinpointed misaligned stitches and other material residue on the dress she became extremely agitated raised her voice and yelled at me that my expectations were too high.

She ordered me to pay £50, she said she only will fix the hole on the dress and if I will not pick up the dress on the following day it will be disposed. At that point I have felt so disrespected and unfairly treated that I refused to pay.
She said that they have spent so many hours on alteration and the issue is my expectation of the quality of the workmanship, whilst at every visit they have admitted that the dress needed to be fixed further.

When I have asked to speak to the management with a very rude hand gesture she told that they do not want to deal with me further, and it is now her decision that the dress will be disposed of if the £50 is not payed and the dress is not picked up in a following day.

Whilst I am appreciative the continuous attempt to correct the mistake I am bitterly disappointed with the work that have been carried out on my item as well as the attitude towards me and will be seeking justice for the same.
