Lasevia/Jammitup/Purus Digital Scam

Lasevia, Cyprus is operating by Savvas Georgiou born in 1961 & his half-brother Andrew Georgiou, born in 1977, in the UK & live in the UK to Greek Cypriot parents. There father Andreas Georgiou (now deceased) was being investigated for fraud & ran off to Limassol, Cyprus in the 80’s. He stayed there until he passed away a few years ago. These scammers have previously operated as Purus Digital under PRS Media Ltd that was fined £140,000 by the ICO for nearly 3,000 complaints Jan- May 2016. Their postal address was in Wales but operated in London, same way as all these registered companies in Cyprus. The director of this company was Savvas Georgiou as well as Jammitup scam under Abacus Synergy Ltd/ Finite Inc Global which has the same text code 83463 as Lasevia. They have used several different company names for this scam. Savvas daughter Rena Georgiou also has worked for O2 and various phone companies and provided her father and uncle customers personal data.

NOTHING LEGITIMATE ABOUT THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER!

Absolute con artists who somehow exploit a loophole to add charges to your mobile phone bill. They do not answer the phone when you try to call them and they ignore emails. They claim via SMS that you are subscribed to Books4you for 4.50 per week. When you check their website out they don't offer any such services. They are based in Cyprus so are protected against UK local laws.

Use the European Small Claims procedure to get your refund

They had stolen £160 off me since Feb 2019 and I got nowhere by ringing and emailing them.

As they're based in Cyprus, I arranged a European Small Claim via my local sheriff court (cost £20) and within 10 days they rang me up and refunded me, apart from the £20 court fee which I am currently pursuing.

I'd urge everyone who hasn't been refunded to use this procedure as it definitely worked for me.

And shame on O2 for still allowing this to happen.

Their address, which you need for the claim form, is..
Lasevia Limited, Ioulianou, 21 Christodoulou Court, Ekali, Limassol, Cyprus 3111.

Good luck!

Do not engage with this text

I get these texts but no money comes out of my account.
Before you do anything check your invoice for your phone bill. If youve not engaged with spam text and emails it could just be a phishing text to get you started.
If you dont have money coming out mysteriously then DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THE TEXT or any numbers it says to text to etc.

SCAM!!

After having noticed multiple payments coming out of my phone bill that I did not consent to, I contacted Lasevia Limited who promptly told me that they would cancel the payments and make a refund.
This was 2 weeks ago, and I have just noticed another payment has been processed on my account!!!! This is technically theft now. I shall contact the correct authorities to get this matter escalated.

Check your O2 bill £4.50 a week to Lasevia

Same as everyone else. O2 gave me the number 0330 053 8808 to call (standard rate). I rang on a Sunday and got through to a call centre where I requested a STOP and Refund which was noted and I was told Lasevia were closed right now but someone would come back to me in the next 2-3 working days.

Pretty disgusted with O2 and any governing body as I can see complaints going back over a year. Clicking "x" on a phone ad is NOT signing up to subscription services. How on earth are they still operating?

Could somebody tell me if you managed to get a refund how you did it. I have spoken to Lasevia and O2 no luck as yet. Many thanks

£74 quid so far

£74 quid so far. I spoke to O2 and demanded my my back...they couldn't have been nicer and refunded the money there and then.
But my issue is that O2 new about this from the get go and did nothing to stop this. Apparently when you close a pop up window 'nobody is sure what pop up it is, but when you tap the X to close thats when you sign for this bogus agreement. Disgusting scam...O2 need to take more responsibility...

Same as the rest

Same as the rest, apparently it was on watch dog recently. Going to get in touch with phone-paid services authority and see if they can sort it.

Update: I have now been refunded £195.00. phew!

This is a scam company

This is a scam company, utterly appalling behaviour, just like every other reviewer here, I have come here because I was conned out of £4.50, per week! The service is dishonest and immoral and what's worse, they are getting away with it.

I got the dreaded listen2books message and it told me that I had subscribed for £4.50 a week, I absolutely categorically did not sign up for listen2books, in fact I had never even heard of them, I later learned that it was because I inadvertently clicked on a link that subscribed me.
I did not and would not click on a link that costs me 4.50 a week, in fact any purchase I make is after careful consideration. Trying to get refund but not holding my breath! O2 are complicit and SHOULD be dealing with this on behalf of their customers.

Warning! Scam!

Warning! This company is a scam.

This company is completely non-GDPR compliant and hopefully will be picked up by the ICO.

It doesn't adhere to gaining the customers consent/opt-in for a service/product to start transactions (which I thought was the law these days).

Instead follows the wild west old school marketing of assuming consent from a click through and then having to text stop to 83463 to opt out of a service/product I've never even seen/used.

Terrible experience.

Lasevia Scam, or should that be O2?

Just been scammed by these Lasevia people to the tune of £36, I had never heard of Lasevia till i got my O2 bill! The worst thing is that I complained to O2 as it was charged to my O2 bill, and was told they are NOT A SCAM but a legitimate company!!!! When i pointed out the numerous complaints on here and other forums, I was told it was hearsay and not to listen! FFS!!! I really think its time to cancel some O2 accounts, truly shocking behavior from O2, basically complicit in theft from there own customers.
