I hired a van online almost two weeks ago and was pre-authorised nearly £500. A few days later, I was informed that the van was not available, through no fault of my own. I immediately requested that the booking be cancelled.

Almost two weeks on, the £500 is still missing from my bank account. I contacted the company again a few days ago, yet the funds have still not been released. It is unacceptable that they allow customers to book vehicles that are not available, take a large pre-authorisation, and then fail to return it promptly.

This is extremely poor service. Their error has left me out of pocket and struggling to pay essential bills, which is completely unacceptable. A pre-authorisation should be released immediately once a booking is cancelled, especially when the cancellation is caused by the company.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this service. I am experiencing genuine financial difficulty as a direct result of this company’s failure to act. I’m now having to look what I can legally do to get my money back.

Couldn’t fault the customer service from these guys, courtesy car delivered same day as my own car went into the garage. Pretty much like for like replacement. Manjit delivered the car went through all the information and made the hand over very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Hired a van from these guys for a day to pick up some stuff from Plymouth. Got a perfect vehicle for my needs, new, clean and economical too. The guys at the yard are brilliant, friendly and efficient. About time we had good local vehicle hire in Bude. Prices are fantastic too!

Hired a car for 3 days and everything was excellent. Great service from start to finish and a really good price as well. Honestly....just perfect !

No other hire company I’ve used, including the big ones, can touch LCH. They offer lovely, easy to drive, young cars at exceptionally reasonable prices. The staff are so friendly and helpful, picking me up from home to bring me to the hire place at no extra cost. I would recommend this company to anyone..and have been doing so!

Long wheel base van rented from Bude in Cornwall. Brilliantly efficient service (love that all of the paperwork is online, before, during and after the hire process). I meet with both Tim and Claudette - both of whom were warm, friendly and helpful with my hire duration.

It's great to have this service available in the Bude area. Nice clean and new vehicles available for business hire (as well as the general public) in the local area.
