Terrible experience

Words fail me to describe level of customer service.
Two weeks after ordering a gift, the tracking showed the item still undelivered.
After several emails to Lavolio I was told I could “pursue a claim for non-delivery” (presumably with the courier??!)
I sent yet another email pointing out the company’s legal obligations; as I had paid £24 for an item they must either replace or refund the missing order.
They then agreed to send a replacement item, told me I’d receive a new tracking number “shortly, this info never arrived.
I chased it up today (a week later) and it has finally been delivered.
I’m sure the products are good, unfortunately the customer service is shockingly poor.

It's A Wonderful Find

I discovered this wonderful company in lockdown and have enjoyed their superb chocolates ever since. My daughter loves the Arabian Nights, I love the Nutty Forest and hooray there is a Vegan Nutty Forest for a friend who is dairy intolerant ! They are simply little pebbles of pleasure, nothing quite like them, try one and the tin is soon gone ! What a fabulous find and worth every penny.

I've been buying these for years and am…

I've been buying these for years and am slightly confused by the low rating to be honest. They're delicious and moreish and it's really a wonder I have any teeth left. Hard to pick a favourite because like most things of this nature, I have some from each tin. I love the nuts in Nutty Forest. I love the cherries in Fruit Garden, and I love the spices in the Spiced tin. I also love the tins, and have quite the collection. I keep having this idea that one day I'll build some kind of apothecary cabinet to hold them all, but eventually they just become a pile and I give them away to friends who use them to keep screws/buttons in.

I do love them all though. They are pretty unique and a taste all of their own. Maybe there's sweets out there like them, but I'd never had anything like them before.

Absolutely love Lavolio

Absolutely love Lavolio - my favourite confectionery and lovely to give as a gift too. I also love the hand-written notes with some orders and the fact that this is a woman-owned business. My faves are 'Arabian Nights' and 'Fruit Garden' - completely delicious! A very happy repeat customer :)

Nightmare

Ordering online from these amatuers is a nightmare experience. The package - over £100 worth for which I had paid extra for a courier never arrived. Left in some holding bay in a rough area of Camden that is only open in the afternoons. No option of redelivery.

After several emails they said they would refund a taxi for me to pick the packages up.

Exquisite sweets

Exquisite sweets, and not boring! I also love that the flavour can be identified by size and colour so you know what your eating. Lovely packaging and will definitely be a returning customer.

Exquisite goods

Truly luxurious confectionery - quality over quantity! To date, my favourite from the collection is the "Nutty Forest". I've haven't tried any of the nougat yet but that's next.

These are very different from the typical mass produced sweets/chocolates (which have their place) but these are in a different league. I've also given some of the tins as gifts and they seem well received so far.

Customer service is great and I'm glad to support a small business in these times.

Worth a try, but a little disappointing

Saw this company mentioned on TV. They call themselves Lavolio Boutique Confectionary. I ordered a large tin of their "Decadent Spiced" Italian Confectionary, which look like dragees and most have a nut or something at their centre surrounded by chocolate or similar. I paid £20 for a tin of 250gms of sweets, they say 50 to 75 sweets of different sizes. Some sweets are very small, others about sugared almond size. I have to admit they look different, but I was surprised by how few sweets there were for the money. My own fault as they did state 50 to 75 sweets. However, you need to offset free postage over £15, which I suppose brings the overall price down. The tin, though attractive, is merely a tin with the company's name on it, so I wouldn't want to keep it. I would prefer to buy more sweets in a plain wrapping, but perhaps that's just me. Interesting, but not something I will want to try again.
