Leaf Kitchens of Cowbridge 

We placed the order with Leaf Kitchens over a year ago and after eight months it still hasn’t been finished and we have now been told that they have shut the doors and we have to deal with their solicitor.

We chose Leaf Kitchens as they were a small business and wanted to support small businesses throughout the Covid period. However we deeply regret this decision and we are now left with an unfinished kitchen badly fitted and parts missing. And obviously no warranty if anything happens with what we have.

After spending thousands; on kitchen, utility and pantry we thought the customer service would be much better than what it was. The employees really tried their best to help us, My husband and I felt completely awkward having to ring the company every day at one point to try and get some response. Finally After 7months of patience they agreed to having two fitters come back out, when the fitters arrive they said they will have to return to order/fit two extra parts,but unfortunately the final decision was with the director who refused to come back out to fix our problems. Or order the extra parts. We were told, quoted from a text message; ‘ The company has shut the doors and any further correspondence will have to be via a solicitor ‘

We didn’t feel we would have to take it this far, at this point we would’ve even paid the money again to order the extra parts needed, but now we are left with no choice.

We are left with kitchen doors which are not opening due to the wrong bracket,- poor design really. The end panel has been cuts at the bottom so I’m unable to mop near it otherwise it will all open and fray and missing shelving and coping.

This company have really upset us, and we can’t believe how one human can treat others like this. It’s deeply unfair but with regret we are having to take matters further. And are in contact with x-ray.

This is our own personal opinion of this company and deep in our hearts we hope that they don’t treat others like this but we have to be honest and express how we have been treated by them as we don’t want anyone else going through what we have been through.

Pete was our kitchen designer. We had a specific vision for our new kitchen and Pete helped bring that to life within our budget.
During the kitchen installation we required extra pieces but this wasn’t a problem and they were delivered to she within a few days.

The kitchen is beautiful and absolutely everything we’d wanted.

Installation: - Gemini Kitchen Installations aka Richard Williams and his son did an excellent job. Richard came along with the designs done by Peter of Leaf Kitchens. We reviewed the installation in detail and he made several novel recommendations . Gave us a price and agreed a date. They came on the appointed date at 0800 which is when they said they would , that’s always a good start, removed the exiting kitchen had a sparks and plumber there to do a first fix . The delivery of product came the next day without a hitch. Thanks Omega and Leaf. Richard came back the following day at 0800, yes 0800 great and 3 days later it was all installed. No ifs or buts it was installed. Odd things on the way were sorted out, they made use as agreed of an existing frame. Well pleased with their organisation and work.

Leaf Kitchens:- After a shaky start where they changed consultants Peter took up the project, gave us a price for what we wanted, recommended ways to solve problems and produced project drawings. The product when delivered was well up to our expectations .Mackintosh Oblique Gloss in Limestone. No handles but easy to get ones fingers in to open. One part had an underneath cornice so to solve the door problem they added push to open catches, it works.
We supplied our own appliances and as it was over 30 days from delivery before we unpacked them and one was damaged Currys has been most uncooperative and have refused to change it even though it arrived damaged – case of caveat emptor .
Price less than Wrens or John Lewis for the complete project and I think the standard of workmanship of the Mackintosh product is better
From our experience we would, without hesitation, recommend both Leaf Kitchens Cowbridge and Gemini kitchen Installations

Had a new kitchen fitted in April. The units are high quality, and the fitter they recommended, paid attention to detail, taking care not to damage existing tiles that we wanted to keep. Through the ordering and delivery process they kept us informed, and the one missing item was quickly sourced and personally delivered by them. We are very happy with our new kitchen and would recommend them over the large companies to get personal sevice that they have for me delivered
