LDC Driving School - Deeside / Mel Potter

Paid Deeside LDC to have Mel Potter tutor me. After a week, she hasn't even had the professional courtesy to contact me and introduce herself, let alone arrange our first driving lesson. Emma from LDC contacted Mel twice, but she still hasn't been in touch. LDC Deeside are a complete waste of time and effort. Save your money and go elsewhere.

S H ! T

I was looking to book a One Week Pass Course as I’d saved nearly £2000 and wanted to achieve the last goal I had on my to do list. I rang Andy who could barely string a sentence together, let alone teach people with 0 confidence how to drive. The phone call was unprofessional, he was unable to answer any questions I had and was extremely eager to rush me off the phone. Around a week later, I received a message from him stating he “wasn’t ready for a course like this” which is almost laughable considering his ‘profession’. Avoid at all costs and save wasting your time.

I was with LDC but I was dissatisfied…

I was with LDC but I was dissatisfied with them so I changed my instructor, I had paid for classes before hand they never refunded it. They are theives as a company any place with honour dignity and respect will refund the undelivered lessons. It’s a law in this country except for this disgraceful company

My instructor Nick Goodchild

My instructor, Nick, was professional, helpful, calm and reliable. Did an excellent job in preparing me for my test which I passed with no minors. Will be happy to recommend him to friends and family.

Avoid Edinburgh LDC Instructors.

Booked with an instructor in Edinburgh, they happily took close to £1000 and emphasised that the teaching was all student led. I notified them that I had 6 weeks until my practical test and was assured after my first 2 lessons that I would be test ready. To give myself a better chance I even took out more lessons and done around 4 hours each week. My instructor refused to come pick me up from my home as it was “outwith their area” so I had to travel by bus every time to the lesson. Nearing the test, after completing so much of the course work I was told they weren’t going to be allowing me to use their car and won’t be accompanying me for my test. The instructor cancelled my remaining lessons and I was left with no instructor and no car 3 days before my test, due to the instructor not feeling I was ready (so much for student led). Multiple times I said I felt very confident and was ready to sit the test. They cancelled on me last minute. Luckily I got a friend to insure me on her car and I used that for the test where I passed first time. I would not recommend this company and I would not recommend their instructors in Edinburgh.

Not great

Not for me sadly, ended up finding another instructor today after being let down 3 times in a row. I understand things happen but I always had to chase the instructor to find out what was happening.

Only had one lesson, hard to recommend Lee Cook unfortunately which is a shame as I've wasted time.

The first lesson was alright, nothing special so 1 star.

Dont bother....

Dont bother. Paid £1000 to train to be a driving instructor. Recived all the books but never actually started the course. They didn't even call me to see if all was ok. It wasn't but they were just happy to take my money.

Refused to refund me back the money and just said I could start the course now.....no good!!
