Negligent and dangerous work, failure to honour warranty

Resin badly cracked and dangerous, spent nearly 4 years trying to get them to fix it, 10 year guarantee not honoured, disrespected and ignored continuously by Lee Paving. Having spent over £12,000 on a defective job, I would advise to spend your money with a more professional company and not these cowboys.

We had resin installed across our entire back and front garden, including the driveway on 13th January 2022. The resin comes with a 10 year guarantee.

Within 9 months of installation, cracks starting appearing, leading to large cracks throughout, our step completely crumbled in parts, and it is not just negligent work, it is dangerous.

Despite many attempts to get Lee Paving to fix the problem and honour their “10 year guarantee”, they have been disrespectful, dismissive, rude, evasive and it has become clear that they have no intention of fixing it.

I wrote a review in June 2025, following which they came to the door the following day and promised it would be repaired within 7 days, if the review was taken down. Since then a small attempt to fix some of the damage has been attempted, but then left. It looks worse than it did before, the steps are still a health and safety risk as they are incredibly uneven, as is the whole garden, and the cracks continue to form, both where the repair work was completed and in new areas.

Since then, we’ve been continually ignored again, visits delayed indefinitely, excuse after excuse and more broken promises than I can count - I’ve given up.

I will need the whole garden redone to fix the issue, which I will obviously not be using this shocking excuse of a company to do. I’ve had quotes to repair the work, where I have been advised that the work was done to a poor standard and would require a complete rework, with adequate pre-work (such as removing old slabs) and the laying of adequate foundations being put in place prior to the work commencing.

This has also happened to a neighbour who used this company, so unfortunately this is not a one off occurrence.

I will be taking legal advice on the issue, should they not succeed in voluntarily striking the company off the register by then, in spite of formal objections, as occurred with the previous company (see the company’s filing history for the current company 15634069 and the previous company 14046113).
