Memories left behind by our parents are now ours to relive again

Our father and mother passed within a year of each other. They left behind a treasure trove of memories stored on film reels, in slide boxes and carousels filled with slides and negatives. We got the slide projector out and looked through them and enjoyed some of the memories but all we could see with the film and negatives were an image of what was on them. There were also a ton of photos in the drawer and in albums.

Wanting to see it all and enjoy it and share with other family and friends near and far we had to have them converted to digital media.

To our surprise there were dozens of companies offering these services, some close and some that would require us to ship them across the country. And we learned that after that, some of the companies even ship the film overseas for processing.

We opted to go with a local company in Orange County where we all live called Legacy Digital. The owner Scott spent quite a bit of time with us going over everything we had, recommending what we should do, and giving us a fair price. He also explained why and how they do things differently and why the time they put into the process and attention to detail impacts the quality of what you get in the end.

I have to say that I'm glad we found them and we are all even more grateful for the time Scott spent with us on the phone educating us. Without this we may have gone for what appeared to be the simplest and cheapest option which would have been to throw it all in a box and send it. And after seeing some videos on YouTube about that company I'm glad we didn't do that too.

We now have amazing digital footage and pics we can share. And they look great.

Thank you Scott and your team for everything you've done for our family.
