Legacy Education is a disgrace / Robert Kiyosaki
Legacy preach about due diligence and have gone bust with over £4,000,000 in promised services undelivered in the UK. They are a disgrace.
Initially they are a well oiled operation... that is until they get your money and then it all goes a bit pear shaped. After attending the so-called introductory weekend I was called every day until I had made a payment for the so-called advanced 'elite training' courses.
At the introductory course they sell a "property dream" that anyone and everyone can achieve even if you have no money of your own .... if you buy the further 'elite training' education. You are told you can pay for this by applying for more credit cards and you are encouraged to do this on the day. Many other people did this having been told many times that "just one property deal" and it will pay for all of this credit.
The trainer promised an introduction to her "power team". That did not happen.
Supposedly once joining we would have access to some portal to enable us to begin out property journey - no access was given.
Never-the-less we went to what is known as Momentum which turned out to be a repeat of the introductory course but infinitely more shambolic. All the while during the weekend friends of the presenters were talking up the back of the room creating a disturbance. Things could only get better. Right?
Sadly they really didn't.
After planning a route through the courses we attempted to book on these.
We attended one where they 'forgot' how to regulate the temperature in the room. Apparently the room had 2 controls as a middle divider was opened up so 2 rooms could become 1 larger one. The presenter who insisted on wearing a jacket was too hot and kept asking for the room temperature to be lowered.... they helpfully lowered the Air-con to freezing (not in the front but in the back of the room) The back half of the room was freezing and I, and others, repeatedly asked for an increase in temp. They helpfully increased the temp in the front half of the room and not in the back half. This again prompts the speaker and his jacket to request the room to be cooled. You get the picture. People in the back were freezing even in big coats.
I was wearing 3 t-shirts, a hoodie and a very thick coat and was so cold my body was in pain. By the end of the weekend I was very ill and suffered bronchitis for several months after.
When I tried to raise a complaint Legacy's all this fell on deaf ears and Legacy's conclusion was that it was my problem. They refused to take any responsibility for this even though the presenter apologised on the last day for the situation when they realised what was happening. Who pays 1000's to be so cold that you get ill. I believe this demonstrates the lack of regard Legacy Education has for its students once they have your money. Poor by any standards.
From then on any course we tried to get on we were told that we were "Wait-listed" but a good chance as there were only a handful of people ahead of us. When the time came.... No call, no email, nothing. Which of course meant no training course. When I enquired how many were on the wait list I was told about 6.
How difficult would it be to contact 6 people who had paid £1000's to attend.
Couldn't be bothered. Don't care.
Moving on - I was told that the next course was already full and we would be wait-listed again. Same story, No call, No email, nothing. They made no attempt to assist us getting on an upcoming course.
I rang the office many times and when no one answered I left a message requesting a call back. Never got a call back. I don't think this is something you can expect from this organisation.
If you are being encouraged to take new credit cards to pay for this training - DON'T DO IT!
STAY WELL AWAY.
Section 75 claims are going to esculate.
Robert Kiyosaki if you are still associated with DC Cordova I hope and pray she kicks your butt for putting your name to this outfit and being a big player in ripping off hard working people who are trying to improve their situations. Is this what Bucky meant when he talked of helping humanity???
Really Robert are times so desperate that you have to undertake this type of poppycock behaviour given the wealth that you have accumulated.
Have you sold your soul for a few dollars?
Where have your values gone?
I find this company to be reputable and the customer service has been great. Every time I call I get a chance to speak to a live person. Jeff Crystal one of the mentors is awesome and he takes the time to break down the information to you.
My wife and I live in Australia and unfortunately, we signed up for a UK mentorship booked and confirmed. Since then the nightmare starts.
Legacy UK is put in Administration and the parent company, Legacy US now refusing to refund our $45,497 AUD. Only offering an alternative product for which we don't agree to or want. We are now dealing with a different country, company, branding, support, mentors, management and contacts, every detail has changed. Currently they have nothing for us and yet they still claim they will be providing the same product we purchased. If they were car sales, We ordered a “Porsche” but they are supplying a “Ford” but not a refund. It's Unconscionable Conduct and breaches fair trading consumer protection laws worldwide.
The nightmare continues, from customers to hostages of Legacy Education.
Have been on momentum training, thank you for the amasing amount of information and help and support from all legacy trainers and mentors, this alone will save us a fortune in mistakes!! Thank you Karen (wales)
TL;DR - Signed up to free trial of one of their services, couldn't even log-in, therefore cancelled just days into trial.
However, was still getting charged the monthly fee to my credit card, customer support never responded to emails & calls, had to get credit card company to block Legacy from making transactions.
I signed up to a free 60 day trial of Property Box (an online property training academy, run by Legacy Education), which I got from a free Martin Roberts property seminar that I attended.
From the start, I couldn't even get Property Box to work. Conveniently, it allowed me to enter all my details, including payment sources, but I was then prevented from logging in; being returned an "error" every time.
So I emailed customer support (which trying to find any contact information for these people was difficult enough!), initially had no response, but when persisting with further emails, finally got a response saying "it's a glitch, we're working on it".
So they were still actively taking sign-ups, despite knowing their software platform was faulty, ignored a bunch of my initial emails, and now we have a non-specific "glitch", with no time period as to when it would be fixed. Great so far...
I waited a number of days more, though still no response & still no access to the software, I decided to email & cancel, aware that the trial will renew if I leave it too long.
I cancelled 1-2 weeks into my 60 days free trial.
Now, months later, when checking my credit card statement, I noticed transactions to "Legacy Education" started appearing. Shocked, I contacted them again to inform them I'd already cancelled & asking them politely to refund me.
As you can expect by now, no response to these emails...
I then found a phone number for them, and surprisingly, they did pick up very quickly. As I was explaining the situation to the guy on the phone, once he had enough information to decode the situation, he interrupted abruptly and said "Ok, please hold".
I was then left on hold for around 1 HOUR, before finally hanging up. I guess their strategy is to dump anyone phoning for refunds on an endless hold line, until they lose patience and hang up. And this is a premium number based in the USA (I'm in Britain) too, so I dread to think how much I've spend in call charges, for this waste of a call...
Without any other choice, I then had to contact my credit card company, to have the payments reversed. Though STILL, Legacy Education continued to keep taking payments from me in subsequent months, that my credit card company had to totally block their ability to make transactions against me, to finally put an end to this.
Moral of the story - DO NOT EVER give any form of bank/card details to Legacy Education, or any of their subsidiary companies. They will take as much money as they can from you, won't respond to your queries, and leave you the whole headache of sorting it out.
PS - I noticed Legacy also tends to operate a lot of "splinter" companies, such as Martin Roberts, Rich Dad, Robbie Fowler Property Academy, etc.
My guess is that since Legacy gets a lot of bad press online, they keep creating these clean companies, to make it look as though (these new companies) have no bad PR.
So if you see any company, with any form of connection to Legacy, DO NOT give them any of your details.
Learned a lot from the instructors and mentors. The staff is very nice and very helpful!
