Tried to pay a pcn online

Tried to pay a pcn online, poor setup page with incomplete instructions, because of this my card was blocked by my bank as they thought it was a fraudulent transaction. Payment now completed after half an hour of messing about. I’ve only given 1 star as 0 wasn’t available.

Absolute Joke

My mate had his gas safety certificate run out due to the council. And he had to badger them to actually do it. And because he dared ask, the engineer deliberately left his boiler in test mode. Which nearly resulted in blowing the sodding house up. True story

Worst council in the UK

Worst council in the UK. The council could be saved from bankruptcy by replacing 90% of the useless staff with AI. Overcharging, impossible to reach, 3 months to respond to an issue, that's if you are lucky.

Phone Calls to building control…

Phone Calls to building control department are a joke... 45min wait time, for someone to answer the phone and say NOTHING. To ring back a second time, get put straight through to a woman with NO common sense who didnt even respond back after I told her the issue. TO RING BACK A THIRD TIME, to be put on hold again for 30minutes and still waiting WHILE IM WRITING THIS REVIEW.

You need to do better for companies who are expecting you to be HELPFUL.

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Advised a bill for three weeks rent whilst clearing a property for my deceased mother was outstanding I wouldn't be chased as the account was subject to probate and then received a threatening letter. Obviously just vultures with no thought for what they are doing. It will be paid when the solicitor has it and is able to.

Completely Ignored

I've reported a broken communal door 4 times over the last 5 days. I've been told they will come and fix it twice but no one has come. I have a hidden disability that has been triggered due to this and am now in a state of fear and anxiety that they are not catering for despite it being a protected characteristic. I also pay for these doors (not benefits) to be working, I deserve a refund for the time the door hasn't been working and unfit for purpose. Wonder if they'll even respond to this review.

am writing to express concern regarding…

am writing to express concern regarding the transparency and fairness of the process by which taxi contracts are awarded by Leicester City Council. There is growing public interest in ensuring that all procurement decisions are made with integrity, free from undue influence or favoritism.

To uphold public trust, I respectfully request that the Council provide clarity on the criteria used to evaluate taxi service providers, as well as any measures in place to prevent conflicts of interest or unethical practices.

Transparency in public contracting is essential to maintaining confidence in local governance. I look forward to your response and any information you can provide regarding oversight and accountability in this area.

Parking

Scaffolding lorry planks twisted in front of on coming traffic, I pulled over to help, ran up to help two struggling lads, ran back to van, I thought that’s my good deed for the day, to see a traffic warden at my van I tried to explain quick walk ten steps and look at the lorry he couldn’t speak a word of English and was to busy attaching the ticket to my van window, I wrote to the council explaining the situation and they said that the warden told her I was trying to tell him I was involved in an accident, that’s because he didn’t understand stand me. You can’t do right for wrong these days.

ZERO stars

ZERO stars! Called the council tax department as I had a letter sent to my address for someone else who I do not even know. The clowns were supposed to be giving him back some money as he was wrongly charged! Called this office about 3 times, waited about 30 minutes, and still could not get through to anyone.
Complete joke of a service! But, this is not the only department which is so useless.
Soulsby, you need to sort this out! Since you have been in charge, the once great city has gone down hugely and it is only getting worse!!

Disappointing

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received today when I called Leicester City Council for assistance. This was my first time reaching out for help, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had hoped for.

I was on hold for over 20 minutes before finally speaking with a representative named Daxa. While I understand that it may not be her role to address all of my questions, I felt that my concerns were not properly acknowledged. I was repeatedly interrupted while trying to explain the full scope of the issues I have been facing, and when I mentioned the severity of my situation, I was told that she was there to "transfer messages."

It was disheartening to hear that the message sent on my behalf was extremely brief—“Water leaks - Landlord is not helping”—when, in reality, my situation is much more complex. I have been dealing with persistent water leakage, significant damage, and a lack of response from my landlord for an extended period of time (over 2 years) I hoped to provide a comprehensive overview of my difficulties, but I was left feeling unheard and frustrated.

What particularly stood out to me was the apparent lack of empathy in the tone and manner of the conversation. Daxa’s attitude seemed dismissive, and at times, she appeared to be tired or disengaged. I work in a similar customer service role and always prioritize listening to individuals and understanding their concerns. Therefore, I was surprised by the rushed and impersonal nature of our interaction.

I understand that this may not be a direct reflection of Daxa’s usual service, but I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. I kindly ask that this feedback be passed along to ensure that future interactions, particularly when dealing with sensitive issues, are handled with more care and attentiveness.

I look forward to a resolution and hope for a more positive experience in the future

Suspect information from a customer service rep

So I have a property in leicester and LCC without any communication with me, decided that I was in tax arrears, I managed to get through to Wendy who said that all correspondence had been sent to a property in Markfield which i left 4yrs ago, and they don’t have a clue how that happened, a normal council would send the bill to the actual property in Leicester and now they’ve given the account to debt collectors, bloody marvellous- I swear these people don’t have a brain cell between them but I’ll be paying the price!
