I requested an inspection at a small town dealership. The inspection was completed & I was happy with the inspectors work. The only item that was a potential problem was the time it took to get an ins... See more

The inspection is unbiased
The inspection is unbiased. Pointed out things I would have missed. Report is easy to understand and helps to make the decision to buy or not.
Very bad customer service experience
Very bad customer service experience. They were so rude for the first time. Second time i tried to call and waited at least 1 hour to get connected for couple of times and had to give up.
The report had some red flagged items like scuffs and scratches but could not find the pictures of those and even dealer said they dont see it on the car. Not sure whom to trust. Not worth of paying this much money or choosing lemon squad.

Flexible inspector regarding scheduling. Complete report with excellent photos.
My experience was good
After reading conflicting reviews, I was quite nervous about what I was going to get. Some reviews were about a terrible experience, either with scheduling or with the quality of the inspection. I am happy to report that my scheduling was quick and easy, and the report was thorough and timely. I won on both aspects when I hired Lemon Squad to inspect my car that was in Kansas City, MO while I was in Chicago.
Glad this service exists …
I've used the service a couple of times, both have saved me from something I probably would have regretted.
Great for out of State purchases!
I always use Lemon Squad for all my out of state, sight unseen purchases, and always delivers. For local cars it’s best to take it to a mechanic. You get tons of pictures and some video and always quick turnaround.
The only downside is not being able to communicate directly with the inspector to request specific things to check out.
Every car I’ve bought using Lemon Squad has always been flawless (I’m at 5 so far) and ran and drove great with no issues.
I bought the car based on the report.
I bought the car based on the inspector's report, but the inspection report was not thorough enough: The transmission slams into gear and doesn't shift smoothly, and the power antenna doesn't work.

Inspector got to the car in two days which I think is good.
What an incredible service
What an incredible service. The report was extremely detailed, rigorous, and timely. We had already test driven the car, but the LS inspector noted a thump in the engine that cleared once the car was warmed up. We missed that on our test drive, but it ended up being an indication that the previous owner may have used the wrong fuel. The checklist was incredibly thorough, tons of photos of the interior, exterior, under the hood, under the car, in the cargo space, and tires. We ended up ordering another inspection on a similar car out of state after this first experience was so easy and good.

You did a great job told me everything I needed to know to make my decision whether or not to buy the truck and I would definitely recommend yall to anyone
Guess I Got Lucky
Needed a remote inspection done for a vintage 1979 VW beetle that was out of state. I saw the negative reviews and was nervous, but this was my only option.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The inspector was on site within 48 hours, spent close to 2 hours there, did a test drive and wrote up a very detailed report with over 50 photos. My longtime hometown mechanic was impressed. All in all a good experience.
Inspector took a week to inspect
Inspector took a week to inspect, then gave results to the dealer before me. Never again...
Not super useful
They dispatched relatively quickly although a day after I was originally told that they would do the inspection. It’s not really an inspection they do so the claim of PPI is not super accurate. It’s more like if you had your friend who doesn’t know anything about cars go and take some pictures of it for you if that’s what you need then the service is for you if you’re hoping for an actual evaluation of the car, then I’d skip it and look at having a real mechanic inspect your car. For most people this is definitely not worth anywhere near the $220.
