AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Terrible fitting of damaged flooring. Incorrectly fitted. No expansion gaps left on LVT flooring so it expanded and buckled, screeching on fixtures, the underlay had holes in it and was cut way too far away from the hearth and doors, meaning the flooring pivoted and bounced. The door thresholds were siliconed to a poor subfloor instead of screwing them down, so they came unstuck within 24 hours and became a trip hazard, causing myself, a disabled pensioner and my daughter who had just had surgery, to fall. The wrong type of threshold strips were fitted and on one door frame they actually NAILED ABOVE the threshold strip sideways into the door jamb, to hold it down. On another door, instead of undercutting the door frame, the hack of a fitter cut 3cm's DIAGONALLY. Customer service diabolical. Not one person came out to view the awful fitting, except the original fitter, who proceeded to cause MORE damage by scratching up the flooring to remove a fault, turning it from a 2mm imperfection into a 15CM scraped area shiny and with the surface missing. I had to take them to court to get my money back as they make every excuse to not refund, including trying to force me to waive all rights BEFORE they would remove the flooring. They twist the truth, there are so many inconsistencies in their letters and emails you could drive a truck through them. They even sent me a recorded delivery letter giving me five days to reply or they would close the case, they didn't post it until SIX days later. I was even told in court in front of the judge that the owner did not believe the floor was faulty, despite him NEVER coming to look at it. I had an appointment for a fitter to come out to try to repair the floor, but when I said I wanted it taking away instead, I was told I hadn't given them enough notice and no one was available. HELLO... I already had an appointment for someone to come out ! They made themselves look utterly stupid in court. I wish I had never ever met that vile company or their family who spread lies that I had dragged book cases all over the floor damaging it. If they had come out to look at the flooring instead of being so obstructive and being so inconsistent, maybe things would have been different, but having spoken to neighbours, they too have problems with the flooring fitted by Leonards. They may have good fitters but one is diabolical and giving the company a really well deserved bad name. They make appointments, you wait in all day and no one turns up. Such an amateurish company in a fancy showroom with terrible lighting so you can see the colours of anything. All in all DREADFUL experience which has taken nine months to resolve and get a refund.

Happy to provide the proof f anyone wants to see the mess.
