I have a Mitsubishi ASHP, hot water tank and system installed at my property which was installed around July 2023. Generally, we have been very happy with the system. I pay over £300 per annum to have Mitsubishi service the whole system annually. On the first maintenance visit in 2024 they identified a few minor issues with the installation which the original installer resolved without issue. On the second visit in June 2025 no issues were identified and I did not receive any kind of report associated with the visit. In Oct 2025 one of the main pumps (which is covered by the warranty) started making a loud and obvious noise. I contacted Mitsubishi and sent them a video of the issue and they refused to attend unless I paid £309 even though this is under warranty. They claimed this would be refunded if this was a warranty issue. Following the visit on 4th Nov 2025 Mitsubishi claimed that we had 'tampered' with the settings since the maintenance visit(s) and increased the pump speed and partially closed an isolation valve and that this had caused the noise issue and hence it was not a warranty issue. We had no reason to ‘tamper’with any settings, wouldn't know how to do so and had not touched anything within the cupboard which we do not even open regularly. With their adjustment the noise went away for a couple of days but then returned and I sent another video to Mitsubishi on 11 Nov 2025.
After a lot of chasing, they finally returned to look at this again on 9 Dec 2025. At that visit the engineer said Mitsubishi had reported a number of similar problems with a number of pumps and whilst on the phone to the relevant department they told me Mitsubishi had agreed to replace the pump under warranty. I confirmed this in writing to Mitsubishi on 15 Dec 2025 as I had heard nothing from them to arrange the return visit to replace the pump. After numerous chases I received a report from the 9 Dec visit on 27 Jan 2026 which bore no relation to our problem or the discussion with the engineer. It even referred to a system of a different kW output and a hot water system when our problem was related to the heating system. This report was clearly not ours and a mix up had been made. I immediately made Mitsubishi aware of the issue. Since then I have been chasing for a response regularly but now I get nothing but radio silence. The issue with my pump is not resolved and the annual maintenance visit that I pay for is clearly worth nothing if they then just blame genuine problems with components on the end user by claiming they have altered the settings. I am disgusted with this behaviour and lack of accountability and service. I remain out of pocket for an additional £309 which has not been refunded.

I’ve been working with Jess at Mitsubishi Electric UK for several years now, and I’ve been extremely impressed with the level of account management and support we’ve received.
Jess has been proactive, responsive, and genuinely supportive of our business. Communication is always clear and timely, and any queries or issues are dealt with quickly and professionally. It’s clear she understands both the products and the practical challenges we face as a contractor, which makes a real difference.
Her ongoing support, technical guidance, and willingness to go the extra mile have helped us deliver confidently for our customers. It feels like a true partnership rather than just a supplier relationship.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mitsubishi Electric UK to other businesses looking for reliable products backed by strong account management and customer support.

I have written 3 times in the space of 10 days requesting a copy of an engineers report for a service that took place in January. Mitsubishi has not given me the courtesy of a reply hence this bad review. This is despite me recently renewing my 3 diamond cover which is supposedly their version of gold standard customer service.
This is disgraceful but sadly not uncommon in the 4 years I have been dealing with this company.

Chris carried out thorough testing of the heat pump and checking the repair was working properly.
Good explanation of the issue found

Having noticed pressure dropping on main tank dial, I contacted Ecodan via email. I had a response the following day advising me what to do but this did not work. I then found the telephone number and called. I was given an appointment very quickly and asked if the engineer would ring me about 1 hour before arrival. Luke was our engineer and he called as promised which was great as I didn’t spend my time hanging around. Luke was brilliant. He identified a leak and then tracked down the cause. He did not have the parts needed but after a quick web search he went off to collect the party needed. All in all great service

I am a plumber who installs these ashps for new build houses. I’ve installed 34 ecodans in total.
I’m not surprised by the number of bad reviews from customers as compared to a boiler these units are awful. So temperamental. I’ve had plenty of call backs for fault codes, parts failing even leaks on the pre plumbed cylinder.
What really annoys me is Mitsubishi’s aftercare. Any fault with them within 12 months the installer (me) has to go back and sort. Even though they are under warranty. I’ve fit hundreds of boilers and when there’s a fault wish is rare the boiler company are there within the next few days no questions asked.
If I go back to a property with a fault, I have to ring up the aftercare team, and try and sort the system out over the phone and the people who work there speak to you like a piece of sh*t.
Been back to 1 property 7 times. Told Mitsubishi they need to sort it they threatened to bill me £350 if it was my fault.
They ended up coming out to the property 2 months later btw and it was their pump and flow sensor that was faulty. I received no back payment for the 7 visits I made costing me hundreds in time and fuel.
Stay away from Mitsubishi they do not care about the customers or the installers.
Told the developer about my situation and they have agreed to not use them again and they are now gonna miss out on 350+ houses going up starting this year and I couldn’t be happier. They don’t deserve any money and I hope they go under.
So bottom line. Stay away !

Speaking as a Heatpump engineer, good manufacturers support is critical to ensure that equipment, now working hard in customers houses, is maintained to a high standard. From day one I have been impressed with the technical support and warranty back up MEUK have provided. From FTC 1 to 7 the journey has been a great experience, keep up the ‘customer first’ ethos and installers will keep recommending your products. 👍👍

Have paid for the diamond service since install in 2020. I'm not sure what has gone wrong in the booking offices but somebody needs a serious rocket. How can a firm such as mitsubishi take your money and be incapable of having someone who can look at a calendar and book in a service slot????. After several emails over a period of months I finally got date and an Am prioritised time slot. As a self employed person having time off cost me money. Shameful. On a plus note Phill the engineer turned up Pm. . Phills 2nd visit. Phill is clean and tidy and very professional. Shame the office staff let him down.

Very disappointed with Mitsubishi sending out a subcontracted company to us.
This company advised alteration work to address some issues we were having. After this was completed we had even more problems! Multiple attempts to contact them have been ignored. In the end we've had to source another reputable company. Their engineer, who used to work for Mitsubishi, immediately recognised the faults and highlighted that the alterations to our system from the previous subcontractors were completely incorrect for our type of unit.
We now have to pay to reverse all the incorrect works carried out by the company Mitsubishi originally sent to us!
I would advise anyone booking through Mitsubishi to request a Mitsubishi engineer only and not one of their service net members. Why pay Mitsubishi prices and then get sent cowboys.

Very professional and very pleased you was able to sort out our issues Phil is the only competent person we have had here. Very friendly and explained everything he done to us
Thank you Phil 🙂

Had a service today (Engineer Phil) He went above and beyond to solve a heating problem as well as completing the service on our boiler. Gave us great advice on what we need to do to fix the fault and relayed this back to the head office to allow us to the get quicker assistance in the future.

We had a bad experience with a contracted engineer through Mitsubishi who had visited us and caused a bigger problem with our system, resulting in us having to call in an emergency engineer to fix a leak that had been created. After complaining, Mitsubishi arranged a second visit with a Mitsubishi employed engineer (not a contractor) called Phil. He knew exactly what he was doing and rechecked the system, fixing areas that should’ve been picked up on the first visit. This is a mixed review as we were disappointed by the contracted out engineer but very impressed with Phil who did a good job cleaning up the mess left by the first engineer. If only Mitsubishi could’ve sent a Mitsubishi engineer rather than a contracted out company, in the first instance, we might not have had so many issues. I would give 5 stars to Phil, but 3 stars based on the whole experience.

I have been on a 3 diamond contract for over 12 months and this is my 2nd annual service. Chris came and I couldn't be more pleased with his whole approach and service. He works directly for Mitsubishi and is not a subcontractor. Chris is a credit to Mitsubishi, he knows how to communiate with customers as well as having all the technical knowledge. He spent around 1.5 hrs checking everything on my system. He offered to reset my system to a setting that was more efficient, but instead of just doing it he explained where my system was currently set and then explained what he could set it at and how it would improve it. I was delighted with this service and look forward to the report

First service on my heat pump. Engineer was very polite and friendly. He explained a few things to me that I was unsure about whilst doing the service.. The pump had gained a lot of algae on the condenser but now the whole machine looks like new. Altogether a very reassuring experience. Full marks.

The service was carried out by Phil, very efficient and professional. 10 out of 10.

I’m afraid the office which schedules the engineers work has been very slow to respond to my requests for servicing.
I paid £314 for a standard service in advance and was kept waiting for 6 weeks whilst my boiler was malfunctioning. I had no alternative but to find another company who promptly sorted the issue. I am still waiting for a refund, having paid in advance at the end of October. Very disappointed with Mitsubishi.
