I find that Eurotunnel is a well-organised company, and I would select it every time I travelled abroad - if I didn’t have to drive nearly 500miles to access it! Its staff are all well-trained in customer service, and my experiences on my journeys have always been “top-notch”! Thank you, Eurotunnel!

Le Shuttle itself very good experience but security clearance stressful . Swab on steering wheel showed something so swab tests repeated then car searched and I was questioned. Understand need for security but false alarms happen and seems dashboard cleaner triggered it. Missed booked train. Never again will I go through that stress and I will continue to clean my car so back to Harwich /Hook of Holland route.

Fast efficient service, staff all friendly. And the ' AA' service was very reactive when a vehicle ahead of us broke down, it was towed away in a few minutes, minimising the delay to those of us behind.

The delays are absolutely abysmal. I usually take the ferry but I thought I would pay the premium to take the quicker route using the train to Calais instead.
On my departure to Calais, I was met with two hours of delays! Going through border control is completely unorganised with queues going all the way through the car park for the duty free, toilets etc. I was meant to depart around 9:24am UK time which I arrived an 1hr30 early for as requested by LeShuttle but ended up in France after 1PM.
I thought this might be a one off but no, exactly the same coming home in the evening a week later. But only 1hr30 late this time…
For the time spent waiting around using my fuel to get to border control and even just waiting for my train, I would rather spend it having Lunch on the ferry.

I have used the LeShuttle s couple of times and it’s been always great
Cheaper for a trike against the ferries
Easy to book on their website and they give great information prior to your trip
The travelling time is only 35Mins from the UK to France

Such an easy crossing to France , much quicker than the Ferry , however it is quite expensive. I also find it difficult to understand the £20 admin fee for changing the booking as it is done online so, " no admin" required.

It's more expensive than the ferry but the speed outweighs that. We found communication a bit lacking on the outward trip, but very smooth coming back.

I booked a crossing for my husband and his friend on my app, but I was not travelling with them, Le Shuttle staff were great enough to let them cross without me after I spoke to someone in customer services who were very very helpfull and sorted the problem out for me. Thank you soo much.

The delays coming back. Too many cars waiting and a bit chaotic. No explanation given either.

We’ve used Le Shuttle more than 30 times and never had a bad experience, until now. Booked a one way ticket out so we can be flexible with our travels and when to return home etc. booked a return journey and arrived on time only to be told we’ve missed our slot. Our fault we thought we had booked the later one! We were held up by them questioning why we booked last minute as this and quizzing us about who we’ve stayed with, did someone else book our ticket, anything illegal in car etc….. we paid £197 for our return journey to uk but were charged for a new ticket at £210. So our return journey cost £407. But they refused to budge. Will not use them ever again

I used to rely on LeShuttle, but my recent Calais–UK crossing has really made me rethink that. After unavoidable border-control delays, we arrived about 30 minutes late for our booked 18:54 train and fully accepted we might be moved to a later departure. The real issue was what happened next, entirely within LeShuttle’s control.
Our car was checked in and waiting in Z5 with other Z tagged cars, ready to board. When the 19:24 train started loading, every other car lane, including A tagged cars that had arrived and been checked later, were emptied and boarded while Z tagged cars were simply left behind. Staff at the barriers acknowledged that the control room had prioritised other lanes in error, meaning later arrivals were waved through and we were forced to wait yet again, adding an unnecessary extra delay on top of the border queues.
I raised a detailed, evidenced complaint asking for an explanation, what they would do to prevent this lane-skipping in future, and some basic redress for the additional delay and inconvenience. The reply from Customer Relations largely ignored these points, repeated generic lines about border controls being outside their control, and hid behind vague “operational reasons” they would not explain. When I followed up, pointing out that staff had admitted an operational error and asking how they would make up the additional 30 minutes, I received a brief, formulaic apology and a flat refusal to offer any compensation for a delay of this length.
So you have a clearly documented case where vehicles checked in and waiting were skipped in favour of later arrivals, acknowledged on the ground as an error, and yet the company’s response is essentially: we’re sorry you’re frustrated, but we’re not going to do anything about it. That attitude towards both fairness and accountability is deeply disappointing, and I will think very carefully before booking LeShuttle again. The response from Le Shuttle below says it all: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
