Reviews are definitely forced

Let's Get Moving Hamilton...reviews are definitely fake or forced. We were bullied into giving a 5 star review or our furniture would not be unloaded at the end. Company was 2 hours late and heavily overcharged us. What they do is give you the final amount (over double what they quoted us) and spring it on you to pay before unloading the most expensive item...they also gave us a form to sign, that states you will not give a bad review and will rate 5 stars. When we said we wouldn't sign, they said they would not unload the rest of our furniture. After much arguing (over an hour) and our refusal to sign the forced 5 star, we paid the amount we didn't initially agree to, they unloaded it but harassed me with phone calls for months afterwards to not write a bad review.
Edit; I'm not using my name because I'm actually frightened of this company. And yes, you DID try to force a 5 star by not returning my items. OWN IT.

Be careful when the moving company demands payment before the day is done

We booked Lets get Moving because of their confidence in so many great reviews - however we learned that their service is not so great. The day of our move went fine until one hour before they were done, they demanded payment by e-transfer immediately, without any invoice or review of services. Earlier in the day, in their haste to move furniture, they did damage the stones at our entrance but they immediately called their office and confirmed a $400 credit for the damage. When payment was demanded they advised that the credit would follow later. This did not happen and their sales office denied that any such agreement was made. Be careful when the demand for payment is made before their day is done,

Our standard procedure is to be transparent about payment timing and to clearly document any credits, damages, or adjustments so there is no confusion for our customers.

Regarding the damage you mentioned, we take responsibility for any issues caused during a move very seriously. If a credit was discussed on the day of service, it should have been properly documented and honored. We understand how upsetting it can be to feel that an agreement was not followed through, and we regret the miscommunication that occurred.
