Lexia PowerUp’s built-in narration, mind-numbing repetition, and extreme sensitivity to wrong answers are annoying beyond words. The robotic voice is dull and lifeless, turning every sentence into a difficult task to sit through. The lessons drag on with the same patterns repeated endlessly, seemingly to wear students down. One minor mistake sends you back to the beginning of an exercise, forcing you to redo everything, regardless of how well you understood the concept. Instead of helping you learn, it feels like the program is actively working against you, rapidly decreasing progress rather than supporting it.

This program always manages to make you angry but never succeeds in actually helping you improve. It doesn’t adapt to different learning styles or provide helpful feedback. It just repeats the same rigid routine that quickly becomes exhausting and discouraging. At my school, almost every student dislikes it. Many openly complain or try to avoid using it altogether because of how ineffective and frustrating it is. What should be an educational tool feels more like a mental endurance test. Lexia PowerUp fails to create any sense of motivation or accomplishment. It turns reading and language learning into a source of daily stress, leaving students annoyed, unmotivated, and completely famished from life.

A problem on lexia, not only is this app still a disgrace of a app but now their making stupid mistakes,
I was on lexia once while in school, I was learning about conflict, it asked me something like what is the definition of external conflict, but.. the voice had said internal conflict, so not only are you bad at educating, NOW YOU ARE MAKING MISTAKES WITH VOICE ACTING, this is honestly just embarrassing, you have literally so many 1 star reviews yet. you still keep this app/website up

this experience left me in pain i could not explain the pain and terror i felt using this software i honestly would confidently say i hope all the voice actors for this website are dead, everyone in my school hates this and its understandable, also being in an autistic school and most people with autism hate loud noises or sounds, so tell me why the hell you will just give us a video and spring a song on us, i advise you to change this app or delete it completely.

Every since i helped my son on lexia i have realize. on why he got a seizure from loosing his streak. As this game only lead you to addiction from trying to earn streak so lexia can get more money. Everything is outdated just to finish this off.

Lexia keeps on making my grade go down. I am a good student, but lexia is counted as a part of our grade. I don't have time to do lexia. I get A's on all my tests except lexia and that brings my grade down a lot.

Gets super get frustrating when I get three questions wrong in the same unit. I have to either watch a 2-minute long video or answer a series of questions that don't count for a unit and most of the time those two options don't teach me anything. I honestly learn more by searching up the answer then watching or completing those questions. It's also super stressful because it's unpredictable if you're going to meet a goal for how many units you complete. Like I said, it's easier and I learn more just by searching something up for 30 seconds then spending 20 minutes in that hell hole of a learning app. If you're a parent, I definitely would not recommend your child will hate this much like all of these other students I've met. If you really want them to learn literally just have them look stuff up it's better than lexia.

Lexia PowerUp is a sluggish & tedious so-called education software. I personally have experienced times where instead of actually helping, their 'correction' is just redirecting me to the same side course (of which only changes when the module is complete) so you can be stuck on one problem while it keeps bringing you to a new one that doesn't effect the score.

Word Study is 90% trial and error during Letter Patterns and other similar lessons, their syllables make no sense to me as a user. Grammar is only bearable because it'll actually give you directions (surprising, I know).

This software also likes to talk down to the user in a monotone, slow, & annoying voice, not letting you continue until after the speaker finishes.

please avoid this software if possible

I can't even explain how terrible Grammar is it told me that the Super Bowl was an adverb, at least comprehension doesn't make you restart every 2 questions, and word study makes sense and is easy but grammar is generationally bad. I tried to give it a chance on the video but it told me there was sentences in the clouds.

Lexia makes me want to crash out and leave the school building and walk to Mexico if powerup was a food it would either be tomato’s or olives and if it was a country it would be the USA powerup is like Donald trump and is trying to take over my life if you played a game where you had bottle flip and land it on the cap atleast 15 times powerup should be your app! This app makes me dumb and it increases my screen time and apparently it’s bad for me powerup makes me want to drive into a Walmart. It’s not even helping my grammar now so that’s why I have no commas powerup is a very bad website and if I have to do it again I’d rather be locked up in a room with white walls and white floor

Told me pumpkin pie was a verb in grammar, I’ve been doing Lexia for over six years now (Core5 and PowerUp) . It’s so stupid and you get stuck on grammar because grammar is near impossible. DON’R make another app 🎀

Lexia PowerUp is the educational equivalent of watching paint dry—except the paint occasionally glitches and makes you start over. The lessons are so painfully repetitive that I’m convinced they were designed as some sort of psychological endurance test. The videos? Cringier than a dad trying to use TikTok slang. And let’s not forget the program’s magical ability to forget all your progress, forcing you to redo the same mind-numbing exercises like you’re stuck in an academic Groundhog Day. Meanwhile, actually learning from something or someone with intelligence will make learning engaging, instead of feeling like you’re being slowly drained of your will to live. If schools really want to help students with literacy, they should ditch this soul-sucking software and invest in something that doesn’t make reading feel like a punishment.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS

It is the most annoying thing to ever exist, teachers who give this to their students clearly don't care about teaching and just wants to sit around and do nothing. It is the worst god damn experience ever that it wants me to jump off a cliff and get back up and do it again 10 times more just so I can escape this stupid thing. The voices are annoying and they say the words in a certain way that it is sometimes hard to understand. It is too long, the unit system sucks, Screw lexia, screw the teachers who give this and the school.

everything about this app makes me want to run into oncoming traffic so i have an excuse to not do the lessons on this app anymore. the ai voice that could make you fall asleep, the fact that it gives you the same video over and over if you get the question wrong, the fact that your answer streak could disappear because of a typo or a misclick, the fact that it thinks you're in kindergarten so it barely teaches you anything, i could go on but i think i've made my point clear, this app seriously sucks
