Ended up costing me more
I booked an intensive driving course and from the outset asked whether I could continue with my existing instructor. I was told I had to use one of theirs, which I accepted in good faith.
Unfortunately, the instructor assigned to me has been unreliable and unprofessional. On two occasions he got lesson timings wrong, cutting into paid time. During lessons, a large portion of time was spent sitting with a pen and pad rather than actual practical driving, which is not what you expect from an intensive course.
A week before my driving test, I lost a lesson entirely. I have also always paid cancellation fees when I’ve had to cancel — including once due to my pregnant partner — yet when the instructor cancels, there is no compensation or replacement offered.
We were supposed to reschedule a lesson for Wednesday 7th, but I received no contact at all. At this point, I no longer felt comfortable or confident with the instructor and have had to contact my previous instructor to take me to my test.
Overall, this experience feels very similar to the many “dodgy” intensive course stories you read about online — poor communication, lost lesson time, and little accountability. I would not recommend this service based on my experience.
