Avoid Life Care Plus – Disgraceful management & unsafe care

My experience with Life Care Plus has been beyond frustrating, mainly due to incompetent and unprofessional management. Marie, the so-called "manager," is controlling, manipulative, and completely unfit for her role. Instead of ensuring proper care for vulnerable clients, she spends her time lying, interfering and making life difficult for families. Even after we made it clear that she was not to be involved in my mum’s care, she ignored this and continued meddling - a complete lack of respect for both us and the director’s own decision.

That brings me to Rajen, the director, who is utterly weak and incapable of running this company. He agreed to remove Marie from my mum’s care package but then allowed her to continue interfering. He has no control over his own business and lets an unprofessional manager dictate everything.

The company brings in carers from abroad with little to no experience in handling complex care needs. These carers receive barely any shadowing or training, making them unfit to work with vulnerable individuals. Complaints are ignored or brushed aside, leaving families to suffer the consequences of their negligence.

On October 26, 2024, I raised a complaint about a carer due to serious concerns. While they quietly stopped sending her, months later, I was shocked to hear them praising her and trying to send her back! When I escalated this to the IBU, they had the audacity to blame me and claim I should have informed them - despite my previous complaint. This company has no accountability, no structure and no clue how to handle serious issues.

That being said, I must acknowledge the few dedicated and hardworking carers who somehow manage to do their job despite the disastrous leadership of Marie and Rajen. They deserve a medal for tolerating such an incompetent management team.

If you are considering Life Care Plus, stay away. This company is a complete mess, run by people who don’t care about their clients or their staff. Do not trust them with your loved ones.
