No response from Lifespan customer service (SOLVED)

It is incredible what I'm about to say, but I cannot be happier with the purchase of my underdesk treadmill, yet I'm worried by the customer service department of this company.

I bought my TR1200-SC110 last Black Friday. I use it every day while working, and I am very happy with it. Great product, huge lifechanger. However, on May 22nd, I got an error on the screen of my treadmill monitor. The error is irrelevant because it disappeared the next day, but in the meantime, and following the guidelines on their website, I contacted their customer support looking for help. I emailed service @ lifespaneurope.com, and I haven't received any response yet. Three weeks and only silence. I feel lucky because after getting this error around 10 times that afternoon, I haven't seen it again since then. But what would happen if I were unable to use my treadmill since then and had no possible solution from Lifespan?

I am afraid of having any issue with my treadmill in the future that makes it unusable because I don't know if Lifespan is going to respond. Crossing my fingers.

EDIT 18/06/24: A few hours after writing this review, Lifespan responded to my email. It seems that due to human error, it had been forgotten. They offered a solution in case the error reoccurs and compensated me for the inconvenience. Therefore, I am changing my review from 1 to 4 stars for their willingness to fix things and I will give them 5 stars on the day I have to fix any persistent error with my treadmill and it gets resolved. Lasty, I insist: my underdesk treadmill is REALLY GREAT!

EDIT 10/09/24: The original error came back to stay. I contacted with Lifespan by its web form and got a replacement part for muy treadmill in 10 days. They are proving to be quite proactive in the face of any problem so I give the 5 stars rating now.

Great Customer Service

I had bought a LifeSpan Treadmill from a retailer and had been facing some issues regarding the incline motor. The manual provided no indication on how to access the test mode in order to calibrate the motor. Despite the fact that I had not bought the treadmill directly from the company, LifeSpan Europe did not have a single moment of hesitation when it came to answering my queries and providing me with the assistance that I desperately needed. Prompt responses, detailed instructions...their customer service is top-notch. Thank you once again for everything.

I recently purchased a walking pad to use whilst I work and I couldn't be happier with my decision! I've been using it daily and am now burning a few hundred more calories each day. Not only has it helped me move more but I've also noticed a significant boost in my productivity.

I received an already visibly used…

I received an already visibly used control panel, the walking pad itself looks new but I didn’t open it so can’t tell for sure. I have asked the customer service over a month ago why I received a visibly used controls panel with signs of wear and scratches (for which I paid over 100€ extra compared to the regular one) and have not even received any response, no replacement of the control panel, not even an automated sorry it won’t happen again.. customer service seems nonexistent at all once you made a payment and if you decide to buy something better hope you won’t need their help at any point in time

edit: half an hour or so after i left the review i have been contacted and we resolved the issue

Five months with no replies

My treadmill has a broken part and I've been waiting five months for help. I first emailed in November 2023, they said they'd check they had the part and get back to me, but since then I have heard nothing. I have emailed repeatedly for further support and am just ignored. This treadmill costs thousands of pounds and has been useless for almost half a year. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it

LifeSpan Europe is garbage

LifeSpan Europe is garbage. I emailed the american LifeSpan support about a problem with my device and they replied to me within 1 hour. I had a whole conversation with them in the timespan of a few hours. Unfortunately they couldn't help me in the end because my treadmill is from LifeSpan Europe. So i emailed LifeSpan Europe. And after over a week of waiting, I still haven't gotten an answer. The support is literally non-existant.

Excellent product support

Excellent product support. The belt felt like it was slipping, and Joris gave me excellent support, even sending me a video of how to make sure that the belt was tight enough. Got it sorted out quickly.

Life Changing

Got a walking treadmill and it’s changed my life. I walk so much more, have so much more energy and it’s definitely made a huge input on my productivity. I used to have sore hip flexors and lower back from sitting so much but these pains have melted away

Defective demo handling initially slow, but corrected

Bought a demo TR5000-DT3. Unfortunately the unit has some issues and I promptly contacted LifeSpan Europe on the day I received it along with videos of the issue.

1. The belt hit the motor compartment on every rotation
2. Squeaking from the panel below the belt
3. Creaking from the panel below the belt

It took some time, but LifeSpan Europe sent a new demo. It came a bit roughed up (scratches, dents, belt looked a bit worn out). But no issues with how it runs nor any noises so far.

So I asked if we could arrange for a new model if I paid the negligible difference.
The new model came, and it unfortunately also had some issues with noise like the first unit, unlike the roughed up demo which just worked as it should.

After testing the new unit I promptly contacted LifeSpan and we arranged that I keep the roughed up demo. I sent the new model and the first demo back, no questions asked using a prepaid label, by having saved the pallet they shipped it on initially.

I also appreciate the trust LifeSpan put in me by having multiple products out of their warehouse to make sure I still had a unit to use during the exchange process.

My only advice is to make sure the treadmill runs well. Use it a lot in the start to make sure any issues are discovered early on. It seems the quality assurance could be better.

The working model has been fantastic to use. It's a whole other experience than the cheap walkingpad competitors. And definitely worth the price difference just in pure usability alone.

Its probably the best we can get on this side of the atlantic unless you're willing to pay 4-7 times more for walkolution which is a whole other segment of products and has a very different feel.

I feel you get the best value here, and after the initial troubles LifeSpan has been good at communicating back and forth.
