Light Cloud is a cloud hosting platform for developers and small teams. We take a web application from a code repository to a live URL, and we run the whole thing: the frontend, the backend, the database, and the domain. Most hosting services cover one layer and leave you to assemble the rest. You deploy the frontend in one place, find a database provider somewhere else, buy a domain from a third company, and connect them yourself. Light Cloud is all of it in one account, on one bill. WHAT WE DO You connect a code repository. We read it, work out which framework you are using and how to build it, and put the application online. Every push after that deploys automatically. There is no container file to write and no build pipeline to configure. If you already have one, we use yours. Static sites and single-page applications are served from a global content delivery network. Backends run as containers that scale with traffic, covering all the common server languages and frameworks. If your application needs data, you can add a managed PostgreSQL database in the same project. We provision the instance, handle backups and maintenance, and pass the connection details to your application as environment variables. Each branch you connect gets its own preview URL, rebuilt on every push and removed when you delete the branch. Custom domains get an SSL certificate issued and renewed automatically after you add one DNS record. Build logs, runtime logs and metrics are in the same console you deploy from, and every deploy keeps its full history so you can roll back to an earlier version. HOW BILLING WORKS We want this to be clear, because usage-based pricing catches people out. You start with a 30-day free trial. For the first two weeks we do not ask for payment details at all. After two weeks, you add a card to continue the trial. You are not charged during the trial period. After the trial, billing is hourly and based on what actually runs: compute time, the database tier you chose, storage, bandwidth and build minutes. Containers default to zero minimum instances, which means an application nobody is using stops running and stops billing. There are no per-project fees and no minimum monthly commitment. Being small means that when you contact support you reach someone who works on the product directly. The platform runs on tier-one cloud infrastructure with a global content delivery network in front of static files. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, we request only the repository permissions we need, and payments are handled by a certified third-party processor, so we never see or store your card details.See more
