Unprofessional Service and Unedited Photos”

I booked a photoshoot through this company and, unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing. They advertise a $99 promotion for a 60-minute session with 40 edited images, but the offer is completely worthless and, more importantly, a waste of your valuable time.

The pictures I received showed no real editing — lighting, color balance, and overall quality were poor. Many of the photos were duplicates with identical poses, which makes the “40 edited images” claim misleading. I had requested photos with vibrant fall colors, but those tones appeared only faintly on the sides, with mostly dull mountain backgrounds.

When I reached out for clarification, I received no proper response or solution. Overall, the quality, professionalism, and communication were far below expectations. I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for quality photography or reliable service. Thanks

Avoid this company!

The brief review:
Avoid this company! Our photographer, Pati B (of Barrow Images), was inept at photography and Lily & Lime should be renamed Lily & Slime. Over half the photos from our wedding are “unavailable”. No explanation and no accountability on anyone’s part. It's been a month of pointless back and forth with them for a resolution. "Evasion" is the correct description from another reviewer. The affordability of Lily and Lime is tempting but as you can find on other websites, reviews will detail either a great experience or a horrible experience. Is your once in a lifetime event worth that risk?

In more detail:
Don’t be fooled by what seems to be photography at a reasonable price. I paid for the “upgraded” 8 hours of photography with Lily and Lime, partly so that I could have a choice in the photographer, but also to have enough time for all our photos. I reviewed the available photographers (I was only given about 5 options) and chose Pati B. The site makes it seem like she has 5 stars but I have yet to see an opportunity to rate her individually on their site. First, Pati arrived late. Secondly, she lacked all attention to detail. Examples include: pictures are off center; overexposed flash; objects (like chair arms or her flash tripod) would be in a posed photo. The best example was during our sunset pictures when she put her second camera behind my husband and I telling us not to step on it. The lens from that camera is visible in that series of photos…it looks like he has a camera growing out of his leg.

She was also terrible at staging people. As an example, during the photos of all the families, the sun was in our eyes so we were squinting. Instead of reframing us or moving locations, she told us to “ just close your eyes, it will look like you blinked”. The photos I do have (because most are missing) with my family, we are all squinting.

Saving the worst for last: we are missing over half of our photos. Here is what photos are “unavailable”: None of our daughter (the only bridal party) walking down the aisle. None of me walking down the aisle, escorted by my mother, no first kiss, no announcement as husband and wife or our walk back down the aisle together, none of our entrances into the reception or our first dance. Only half of the photos with my family and ZERO of my husband's family, none of our dinner or dinner guests. These are all photos we posed for. Captured moments pick back up later in the reception but are minimal. We have some guests that didn’t make it into any photo…we only had about 55 guests so it was not a large wedding.

Lily & Lime has apologized regularly as they moved me from one customer service representative to another. Over the course of a month, I was passed from Lucy, to Myra, then Nora, then Tom, then Ashley. Pati B ghosted me during all of this.  Lily & Lime originally offered me a $250 photo shoot. I declined - can’t recreate the day and don’t care to have another inept photographer. Then was offered an overpriced photo album instead that they valued at $450. No thanks. All along I have asked for a 50% monetary refund which I feel is more than fair. We do have some photos so I am willing to compensate for those. But the number of photos we received are an inaccurate account of what was provided. So many of our photos are when she was "testing the flash" and we were not fully in position yet. Each customer representative has offered something different. Now, Lily & Lime feels that my loss is only worth a $350 refund. A fraction of what I paid for and less than their previous "package" offers.
Bottom line, I paid for 8 hours of photography, received less than half of that, and will never be able to look back on irreplaceable moments from our wedding. They are great at communication before your event, but don't expect that same kind of professionalism if you have trouble. You are better off having friends and family take photos. Unfortunately, mine were leaving photo taking to the "professional" so that they could enjoy the evening.

Again, is the reasonable price worth the risk of not having your once in a lifetime moments captured?
