Copenhagen rentals. Horrible. Wife’s bike chain was off. Mine made an annoying clacking sound the entire ride. Go with Donkey Republic. Bikes are newer and cleaner, and you can make a pit stop and lock the bike anywhere versus being forced to find an authorized parking spot and end the ride.

Reports Ignored about Illegal Parking

My final reponse to Lime customer service, after many back and forth where they act as if they don't understand that (1) there were no acknowledgements of receipt of the reports I provided to them through the app about illegal parking of their bikes, and that (2) providing all that detail in e-mail threads, days later is too little too late:

"Nah, I have decided to report these directly to the council and I hope that Lime will receive hefty fines and more London councils will revoke Lime's license! With this attitude, the business truly deserves that!
It seems you are being disrespectful by repeatedly parroting the same thing. The context of this e-mail thread should have been crystal clear: there is no point reporting details of an incident days after in this e-mail thread. If you couldn't handle it through the reports I have provided through the app that time then it is Lime's problem."

Don’t waste time

Saw two were free so decided to get off train. One was pre- reserved and the other broken. There were no others around so was so late.
If reserved don’t show available
If out of power don’t show available.
Don’t waste time thinking these will help

Garbage

Garbage, you made my honey bun fly 6 ft in the air and fall into a puddle at 2am, unforgivable behaviour. I’ll never ride again (pause).

Parents, beware

My 13-year-old son used a Lime bike in London for the first time. Because he didn’t know how to end the trip correctly, he was charged £65 for 30 minutes.

When I raised this with Lime support, after multiple back-and-forth emails, I was told he shouldn’t have used the service because he’s under 18.

But here’s the problem:
👉 There was no clear age restriction visible when signing up.
👉 Lime still accepted payment from a minor.
👉 When challenged, they refused to refund or take responsibility.

This looks less like a mistake and more like a company willing to take advantage of underage customers while hiding behind small print when things go wrong.

Customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and ultimately left the issue unresolved.

If you’re in London (or anywhere Lime operates), please be cautious before letting your kids near this service.

Overpriced

I only road around 1000 feet from the train station to a nearby park when I decided to try a lime scooter for the first time. I was slow at first, so I could get used to it and be safe. For that ride, I was charged $3.12! Good grief, how much is it per minite or mile? This is a rip off and not worth paying uber prices for a dinky scooter! NOT worth it! I'll walk next time. 😒

Parking lot

It’s ridiculously difficult to find a proper parking spot with Lime. They really need to improve their parking zones, like VOI has. I’ll never ride a Lime scooter again, and I don’t recommend Lime to anyone.

Absolutely disgusting experience

Absolutely disgusting experience. I picked up a scooter in Nørrebro to go to Nørreport station about a km away. When I get the it tells me I need to go an park 1km away back the way I came. Absolutely infuriating. I ended up spending 60kr to get almost back to where I started. I will never use them again.

Horrible company

This company is actually the worst all around. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Completely dodge questions and will not resolve issues with their bikes that literally do NOT work at all.

Over Charged.. this is called stealing...

I was enjoying my ride, about 2 hours in the bike shut down. I recall the app charging a fee if not returned to a docking station, so I paid the $8.00 fee to return the bike to the location where I picked it up from. As I was returning it, the message stated that I was not able to return it to the exact location that I picked it up from. Now reviewing my bank statement, I was charged $8.71 and a 2nd fee of $45.15. LIME, I'll never use your service ever again. POOR customer service.

Time to improve

Getting worst. You ride, you get charged, and one day afterwards the charged amount changes to triple of the price you where initially charged for. I believe this a big Lime scam. I used the bike to drive for literally few meters, I was charged £2.75, which I believe is fine. However 24 hours after a message comes your ride price was adjusted to £6.71. Just doesn't add up. I really believe Lime is screwing us, literally!!

The bikes are faulty, the rubber leaves your fingers black, you can't even wash it off. Most of the time the bikes are faulty, pedals not spinning properly, etc... I could talk a lot.

Lime bikes = FRAUD

I actually have second hand embarrassment from how bad this service is 😂 at this point it’s genuinely fraud because the bikes simply don’t work. They used to be brilliant but within the last two months it’s abysmal! I was living in London, all the bikes constantly had an issue - missing pedals, app glitches so u couldn’t end the ride, punctured wheels, everything!

I just moved to France, the bikes here are in one piece but labelling them as electric is just a lie! There’s no power in them whatsoever and it’s actually harder to cycle because the bike itself is so heavy!

I have spent hundreds of euros on lime bikes and when the service started disimpoving I complained multiple times, but obviously this company has no value for customer satisfaction. I will never use this service again

Terrible

Terrible! Took me like 5 broken bicycles to find a normal one, and even then, got charged extra 13£ which I still haven’t received back. RIP OFF!!! Never again 👎🏻 And the worst part is that the 10£ transaction that was supposed to be “on hold” and sent back immediately is hidden from payment history!!! Very clever.

Ridiculous rates

Ridiculous rates. Online all you can get is that you are billed anywhere from 15 cents a minute to 30 cents. But was charged a total of 55 bucks for 45 minutes. It also pops up to save you money on the rate and tricks you into doing the cheaper rate when you then get charged for double what you should have! This is a total rip off scamming company!
