Never having bought a house in France before, we really didn't have a clue. Our French is limited and left to our own devices, our chances of sorting things out properly were pretty limited too.
Limousin Property Agents, Allan and Tanya were magnificent from start to finish. I mean seriously. Nothing was too much trouble.
Their professionalism shone through. They walked us through the paperwork, they kept us informed and answered all our questions.

I couldn't recommend this company more. As we were looking for our first French property we were especially cautious and concerned about finding the right place for us. We initially communicated via email in an attempt to find suitable viewings for our visit so as not to waste time. On meeting Allan in person he showed a great knowledge of the area as well as important regulations and planning information. No question was too insignificant or left unanswered. Once we found our home the purchase was completed in a swift and relaxed way that appeared effortless from our end. The Coussac Bonneval branch of the Berthou agency as been very helpful in every respect with the purchase of our real estate. The negociation process was quite simple, because the agency understood exactly what was required to close the deal. There was help with the acquisition of the CU. We were quite happy with the end result.

There are a lot of bad stories about French real estate agents but not true at all when it concerns Berthou. They really did a very very good job and I would recommend them to anyone without doubt. If I could give more stars I would. Thanks again Allan!!!

I have read the previous comments about Allan and Tanya, and my wife and I couldn't agree more. I have known them both for a few years now having bought and sold properties through them. They take the profession of Estate Agents to a new level whereby the process of buying and selling in France is somewhat painless. They are very helpful in all matters of the legal processes and I cannot recommend them highly enough. It is a shame, as someone else wrote, that there aren't more than 5 stars to tick because I would undoubtedly tick more. Many Thanks for all of your help in helping my wife and I ease into our retirement here in France
