Lings Motor Group provided a great experience for both purchasing and servicing. Beth and Gary were friendly, helpful, and informative throughout, making the process smooth and enjoyable. They went above and beyond to provide updates and resolve issues efficiently. Excellent service overall—I’d happily recommend Lings to anyone considering a Hyundai or exploring EV options!
This was a return visit following on from an issue I had in my 73 plate kona electric. I had tried to put some air into the offside front tyre to find the 12v sicket was not working. The fault was diagnosed as a blown fuse and the car returned to me. A couple of weeks later the low tyre pressure warning illuminated again and on trying to inflate with the supplied inflator once again I found the 12v socket to be not working, I therefore called Lings and booked the car in fir a second time today (20/09/2924) and was told to bring car in at 10am. We arrived at 9.45am and dropped off the car. We had a good walk around Lowestoft and some lunch and returned at 3pm to check progress to find the car had only just gone into the workshop to be looked at. I should point out here that we live around an hour away from Lings and we also care for an elderly parent so getting to the garage any earlier is not really doable for us. The question here is why agree to book in the car at 10am making us rush around to get there on time and then not even look at the car for some 5 hours. The issue was diagnosed as a blown fuse again and the advice was ensure we use a tyre inflator pulling less than 20 amps, but I had used the inflator supplied with the car. I do own another 12v inflator but having checked that it only pulls 15amps anyway. It appears that even though the fuse had now blown twice the reason for this had not been explored, probably no time to do so as didn't start to even look for 5 hours after dropped off, The reason for the low tyre pressure light was diagnosed as a nail in the tyre and we waited fir a further hour whilst the puncture was repaired. We left Lings extremely dissatisfied with the experience and less than half way home the tyre pressure warning illuminated again so they hadn't even repaired the puncture. Needless to say I am now an ex-customer of Lings which is a bit of a shame as Luis in sales was excellent when we bought the car, but it is always after-sales which is the acid test and here Lings fails miserably. I will call them again in the morning to see if they will at least do the honourable thing and refund the puncture non-repair. Will look for alternative dealership who understand customer service to look after me going forward.
Jacob was very thorough and informative and made the whole experience enjoyable.

After walk away experiences at two Hyundai dealerships we found a car at Lings which fitted the bill in regards to colour and model. The car was a courtesy car which was initially dirty inside and out but this would be valeted before handover, the only other issue was a mark on the alloys which was brought to the attention of one of the sales team Bethany, we were promised this would be sorted before handover. We had traveled 1 hr 45 mins to view the car- which would need to be collected once the car had been valeted and the alloy repaired. We needed the car back quickly as my son was due to return to Wales in a weeks time. We asked if it could be delivered which they agreed to, and would let us know the next day when. Next day comes and nothing- son calls them, can’t say when it will be delivered but ‘have handed our details’ to the people who will deliver the car (by driving i might add not on the back of a transporter)
Needless to say we never heard ftom them but every time we called them they promised to call tomorrow…and never did. After being lied to by the company Linga use to deliver their cars we had no option but to collect the carin person, 8 days after sale they could not get a car 1hr 45 mins away despite knowing it was needed asap.
Lings offered £100 as they were paying £150+vat for it not to be delivered.
Of course, we turn up first thing as time is a factor, and pre check the car to find the alloy has not been corrected as promised. Then we were given some old BS about it not ‘being damaged’ ..its smooth to the touch! (it was a manufacturing fault) like that makes any difference when the wheel is defective! Of course if Lings put it through warranty we would bizarrely have to bring it back to them: “are you local?” The salesman says knowing full well we’re not and have driving the width of the county to be there. I don’t know if car salespersons think everyone was born yesterday but at Hyundai they excell in this talent.
But apparently we can take it to another Hyundai garage in our time and get it done under warranty! This is before the cars even off the forcourt! I asked the simple question: this type of car all have exactly the same wheels, why can’t you take one off another car and put that on ours and send the other to warranty? No real answer to that im afraid and our vehicle handover was complete with a quarter tank of fuel and the sticky mess on the plates which they had stuck the showroom playes on with.
My son at the time said Bethany appeared very professional and switched on, so i don’t know if all of this was an oversight or she left it to colleagues who let her down but the net result was initially a good experience which was let down by leaving the customer to organise and deal with incompetent logistics as well as penny pinching and not delivering what was promised at point of sale.
Excellent service from Bethany, thank you. Helpful with everything when buying our car and turned things round quickly for us. Much appreciated!

Lings made the whole car buying experience a pleasure. From first welcome to handing over the car Beth, the member of the sales team we dealt with, was friendly, helpful and efficient and not at all 'pushy'. Would thoroughly recommend the dealer as a whole.

Had a strange experience where the engine management system illuminated in amber on our Hyundia Ultimate whilst the car was parked but with air con on for our lab/retriever. Took it into Lings Lowestoft and Beth and the team ran the ODB-II on it and it turned out the oil was a little low. Strange as it has an oil warning light. At the end of the day it was sorted free of charge. Thank you.

We went to test drive a Hyundai Kona as we plan to buy an EV this summer, but left having paid a deposit to buy the demonstrator we had just driven.
Why did we buy without trying other makes? Well, the price was right, the spec was right, the dealership convenient and the salesman Gary did not try to sell the car to us. Instead he objectively discussed with us the pros and cons of EV car ownership.
Am I pleased with my purchase? Yes, and I would also recommend others considering buying an EV to talk with Gary. He'll help you decide if an EV is right for you or not.
