I had an excellent first experience purchasing Tango Shoes from Lisadore. Although I am a seasoned Latin and Ballroom dancer, this is my first time with Argentine Tango and purchasing those dance shoes "on line" without the ability to try on the shoes. Lisadore provided good detailed information on the website which I followed. In addition, they provided excellent and reliable communication via Whats App.
Delivery was prompt . The shoes were very good quality and they fit well! I will order from them again and I consider them a trustworthy business. Thank You Lisadore!!

Some people here seem to have problems with enjoying that, they really have no idea to what extreme lengths these shoemakers need to go to make just on single shoe. Despite very limited returns yet he still manages to deliver worlds most fabulous fantastic shoes. And with the little profit there is, he makes 10 more new shoes the next day.

Some clients discover for the first time in their life they have to pay import duties for importing goods into their country. And they enjoy misbehaving in unpresidented manners. No words descibe some clients behaviour. But they sure take away all the joy of the effort put into offering these shoes.

Customer service curses customer!
The owner responded with the curse words to my request to follow US import laws that require every business selling anything to the US consumers to follow the US law. I understand that he is not educated and doesn’t know laws , yet wants to earn money illegally in the US. That is not my business. However, being so rude and curse customers, this is unheard of in the US.

I purchased two very expensive shoes from this website, paid for the shoes plus $48 for delivery. It took them about 3 weeks to ship out the order. I had to send multiple emails to get anything moving. Any email reply takes several days, and multiple reminders are required to get a reply. A few days ago DHL sent me a message that I need to pay extra in order to get this shipment, so I informed the business asking them to pay the required import fees or accept the merchandise back. Import fees are a normal obligation of any seller in the US, unless they inform the customer before purchase about additional fees that the customer would need to pay. There was nothing about this while I placed an order. The seller replied to me today with a shockingly rude email, basically saying it is none of their business and that they will not return money if I don't pay extra! Crazy, Stay away from this scam businesses!!!

Wake up. These are costs YOUR governments charges you. Not me.
There is already hardy any margin on these handcrafted shoes, your proposition is really really unheard.
You had a whole year to find out what your government does.
I am not your toy.
If you dont pay your taxes the shoes will be destroyed and you will lose all your money.
Sorry, your mail is really unheard and really really inappropriate.

The owner replied promptly to my WhatsApp messages for the times to visit the store.

Overall the shoes are just magnificent. So much choice...beautiful high quality dance shoes. Tough to decide. Great prices and I ve been dancing in my Lisadore now, and they are simply sexy and comfortable.

Sure the reviews are low , the owner has his own personality, like any business owner , they are busy running a business and they are not the sales lady. The serve was great, as it should be, polite and professional and good advice in selecting, not pushy, you make your choice. I m good with that approach. I had visited the other dance shoe shop in Hague near Grote Markt, and that that was bad service, poor quality and overpriced and poor advice. So no comparison to Lisadore, which is also located in a scenic part of the Hague and the boutique is nice and clean and endless boxes of choices. So best come.prepared beforehand

I received the wrong US size shoes followed by the most offensive email filled with F words. The seller sounds like a 15 year old with an altered mental state. Please avoid this scam / scum if you are buying from the U.S. Happy dancing!

I can’t but share my disappointment with other potential customers.
Well, it was my third order with the company. Previously I ordered Comme ail Faut shoes two times and I was very happy about the quality of the shoes and the smooth delivery. However my third order recently has been a complete disaster. I decided to give a try to Lisadore brand and was rather disappointed when I received the shoes. The quality is far away from Comme Il Faut, the price is almost the same, even if those shoes were on sale. There was a number of issues with the shoes that I communicated to the team providing the photos. No answer. Several reminders via e-Mail, no answer. So I called the shop and had a „pleasure“ of speaking with Mr. Martijn van Bokhoven (the owner) who started screaming at me in the first minutes of the conversation as soon as I gave him my order number. What to say… he didn’t even try to fix this situation. In the end he offered me a refund for the the shoes only, but I had to pay the delivery cost to send the shoes back to the Netherlands (from Switzerland), to buy a new pair at his shop and pay for the delivery again! So for me it didn’t make any sense. In the end this delivery would have been as a new pair of shoes. So I decided to leave the shoes of poor quality that I am going to show to other dancers at tango festivals that I visit, to share my impression of even worse customer service and to avoid this shop in the future. No more orders with Lisadore!

I am very disappointed with the customer service. I bought a pair of shoes that were really poor, cannot wear them. A second pair ordered did not fit and it is impossible to return. I contacted the company and I got a reply a month later. Will not buy from Lisadore again. I bought all my shoes from them and I was hoping that the quality of the service will be maintained.

Earlier in the week I have gotten my 3rd pair of shoes from Lisadore. This time I was fortunate enough to visit the shop in The Hague, where I got a private fitting. Apparently all appointments are private so you have the shop to yourself and can fit on any pair that you like. That was a great feeling I must say. The owner is very charming and knows his shoes. The choice was enormous, every week he gets new shoes in, all of them completely hand made by clearly very skilled craftsmen. Chapeau!! I had a party last night, and danced away the night without getting any blisters on my absolute gorgeous and sexy pair.
I feel one lucky girl!

If I could give 0 stars, I would . The quality of the shoes is very low compared to other providers, the prices are high and the customer service is appalling. I have explained to Lisadore that I am not happy about the quality of the shoes , because the paint started to come off the shoe as soon as I put them on . I asked for a refund and said I will return the shoes. They called me 'pathetic' and told me that I was wrong in the most rude and condescending way. They told be that if I wanted a prefect pair of shoes I should buy from 'Alibaba'!! This lack of professionalism is unacceptable in customer service . I have never been treated so badly by tango shoe sellers and I have 15 years of buying experience. I would never recommend Lisadore because of the experience I had .

​I bought it on 07/29 and I received an email a month later saying that my address was wrong. I asked for cancellation and the person disappeared. I'm contacting the card operator.
This company is a fraud. Don't shop with Martin.

Beautiful shoes finally arrived, very happy with the quality. Clear communication around delivery times would have saved months of confusion. Worth the wait.

I have previously bought shoes from this site a few years ago and that purchase went well. Something has changed over the years. This time I am very unhappy with how their business handles things and would not recommend it to anyone. I ordered several pairs of shoes and then first received an email that “shipment is delayed”. I then clarified with them that I need to make sure they send return instructions as Im only going to keep a few shoes that fit. Then they said in this case they would like to cancel order completely which i agreed to do. I confirmed order cancellation but haven't received their cancellation confirmation. Called a few days later and they still have not refunded the money or sent cancellation confirmation. Then the following days they are not even answering the phone. This is not the way to run your business. Stay away from this company.
