The Echo is in my opinion a pale shadow of its former self. I used to love reading it. Local reporters who understood the area. Now, it's basically trash and a shell of a 'local' newspaper. Sensationa... See more

Absolute joke of a site you can not…
Absolute joke of a site you can not read a story or article without getting bombarded by Ads! Which makes it unusable. Professional beggars!
Ignores facts and truth -DONT BUY THE LIVERPOOL ECHO
This paper is pathetic mainly its football content and rose tinted glasses reviews of Everton players their performances and club as a whole. It buries and hides the facts and its reporters write the most ridiculous reviews of the games - it also deletes any negative comments it doesn't like especially the truth and then blocks you if you go against the politically correct and rose tinted norm - Its a joke and to be honest with you Its only fit to wipe your backside with. George Orwell was right - the corrupt and controlled press -their thoughts the only acceptable ones, the death of democracy and free speech. DONT BUY THE ECHO -
Takes forever to read anything because of the ADS!!
Can’t read a single article because the amount of ads are unbearable! You start reading something and then the page disappears and takes you back to the start or has a video pop up you can’t turn off without refreshing. It does this constantly so a two minute read turns into a 5/10 minute one. You have to really want to read the article and not be able to find it anywhere else to even bother. It’s gone right down hill. I literally just tried to read an article and gave up, there’s just no point ad after ad after ad. Not to mention scrolling down to read further also triggers the ads 🙄. Don’t waste your time trying to read any of it just get it from wether else.
Online articles unreadable
No point clicking echo articles anymore because the adverts are so disruptive it's hard to read.
Liverpool Echo is without a doubt the…
Liverpool Echo is without a doubt the worst online newspaper, I never bother trying to read it anymore.
Forever interrupted with adverts, the webpages stick, trivial clickbait headlines, webpages so sloooow to turn. Webpages do not appear, videos never appear either.
This has been going on for years but they do nothing. All this since they moved to Manchester, it is definitely not a Liverpool newspaper anymore. Subscription to the online Echo is more expensive compared to other online newspapers.
Very poor content
Start to read an article and then it says purchase for content. Very poor content and storyline throughout. Even some free stuff goes on for ages when a couple of paragraphs would do. Very boring
This paper
This paper. Is not a Liverpool. Echo no more it is a disgrace a should be closed down loved it years ago but when left are city. From print media. Here just got worse shut it down disgusting it is now

Seriously how can this paper which sold out to other parts of the country, now wish to charge the patrons of this city for utter drivel and inconsistency
Your depiction of Liverpool news is akin to the rotten Sun
Hang your heads in shame ……. Money for nothing ……you’re a disgrace
It cant be described as a news source.
It cant be described as a news source.
Example, one story takes you to a page containing 16 lines of 'news' text, less if you remove the fact the headline has been mentioned twice. The story originated on Facebook and is preceded by the words 'you wont believe'... For this you are exposed to 135 adverts.
Irrespective, its tribal, sneering and thinly veiled mockery of the city it purports to report from is disgraceful.
Example, screen splash when Man City beat Liverpool to the league by 1pt. Congratulating City... fine. That will be repeated in the MEN (same parent company) when Liverpool win the league... No... it wasnt. Alternatively, look at headlines citing someone was 'left fumin', (nice use of regional dialect added there from our 'local paper', strange we don't the same phonetics of accents utilised in other Trinity periodicals... in other towns and cities... just here then...?
Depsite this, the attempt at homogenisation, Trinity seek to create with their product lines, through the sensationalising of nonsense, the dumbing down of complexity, the idiocy of its political ambition, all of it, serves only to move it further away from even being associated with a news source it purports to be.
It does not have a place in the city.
Describe it in one word - Pathetic.
The comments are full of toxic trolls…
The comments are full of toxic trolls driving away reasonable discussion by intimidating, insulting and extreme views. It can't do the advertisers much good.
Cheap tabloid clickbait dross
Cheap tabloid clickbait dross. Sick of them clogging up social media with their desperate banners and failed articles.
Non stop adverts the stories don't load…
Non stop adverts the stories don't load but adverts do and when they do load they are impossible to read because of yet more flashing adverts.... It is horrendous
Adverts are the lifeblood, but don’t kill yourself
As others have said. I am unable to read the website on the echo’s own website (mobile) as the page doesn’t scroll properly, jumps around due to adverts. This basically forces a willing reader elsewhere. Adverts are the lifeblood, but don’t kill yourself by over selling space.
Appalling website!
God this is an awful website...I'm astonished that some reviews talk about the standard of journalism as I can barely get past all the pop ups and ads and nonsense to even stand a chance of reading anything. The home page without fail always greets you with a tale some violent thug or other and so the only purpose the site serves is to terrify all inhabitants and potential visitors to Liverpool!
Cannot read anything without stupid…
Cannot read anything without stupid adverts jelly babies to lose weight, no matter how much you reject, total waste of time
Waste of time
Absolute waste of time. Just tried to read 2 articles, couldn't finish either. Pop up ads in the way, other ads trying to load, finish one sentence have to scroll all over the place to find the next. Then you click on a link only to have the page jump and you end up God knows where. No story is worth this amount of aggravation.
It's just a painful experience
It's just painful trying to get to the article that grabbed your attention in the first place. The focus is on clickbait, not journalism. There's no value in this service - just frustration!
