This paper is proper garbage so is the app avoid at all costs

This news paper is run from Manchester calling it the Liverpool Echo, it should be called The Manchester Evening New 2. It publishes rubbish and is very negative toward Liverpool. I dislike the newspaper as it's mostly depressing and in cahoots with the police and the council and other government bodies such as the DWP. People should make a stand and stop buying this paper. People back in with the Sun newspaper. Liverpool people deserve better than trash news.

Holy mother of Mary. The Liverpool echo is the worst experience on the web right now. Certainly on mobile anyways. The click bait headlines are embarrassing enough on their own but the adverts and sensational headlines along with the rehashed content is enough to make you never visit the site again. Couple all this with the near impossible navigation makes it complete and utter garbage.
Oh and to top it all off, the new Apple privacy update tells me that the echo has set 75 trackers on me today all because I wanted to read an article on Virgil Van Dijk. Disgrace

This comic of a tool of propaganda is the worst online newspaper out there, if they weren't creeping around the mega corrupt chippy baps Joe Anderson they are trying to bombard you with ads which sometimes is a relief from their shoddy, rushed stories that they usually dig up and recycle from old stories trying to build sensationalism from it's couple of readers, not to mention it's written in MANCHESTER of all places🤦‍♂️💩

Nothing to cheer you up here , no good news no positive reporting about the city , it just lays it on thick and fast.
It’s the new Sunday sport disguised as a local news paper .

Worst sports media. Most headlines are click-baits, no true story at all. Waste of time.

It's just a rag that uses clickbate to try and make you read articles "this product from aldi that people are going crazy over"... its a cabbage, what's so exciting, I've got two in my fridge.

Most of the "news" isn't from Liverpool. They go on about corry and the only way is Essex. The last thing I seen was about some nut case in Italy packing an emergency bag incase a rocket fell from space on her.

Constantly slagging the police off whilst doing freedom of information act requests from years ago and calling it news.

The site is full of adverts titled. "People aged 18 to 99 should read this. The life insurance hack everyone should know about.

All through lockdown they had pop up adds begging for money.

Don't get me started on the spelling mistakes and terrible grammar. Call yourself journalists and you can't string a sentence together.

Just give up echo, nobody buys your rag anymore and less people will be viewing it online. The desperation from you is unreal.

First time I saw this it used words completely out of context for click bait. Disgusting how desperate these journalists and papers are to get attention and money

I had to give the site one star to be able to write my review. This has to be the worst on line new paper in the country.

This rag is finished .I used to work for the liverpool echo as journalists. Since the lefty Liberal brigade took over the paper has gone down hill .there is a certain mr l thorp who is in the pocket of local councillors who walks round with a chip on his shoulder thinking he knows it all when realy he's just a mouthpiece for those councillors and he hasn't realised it yet .no wonder there revenue's down and they are asking for online donations .this once great paper is in a rapid decline

The liverpool echo website is a disgrace. It always posts sensational headlines then sticks the headline content so far down the site that you give up looking for it after wading through topic after topic thst has nothing to do with the headline. I now avoid the website because of this seemingly deliberate ploy

Embarrassing to the people of Merseyside with journalists who have massive egos and self importance who just can’t seem to connect with its dwindling readership.

Worst website on the internet, clickbait, pop up adverts and practically unreadable.
This was a great paper for football fans and Liverpool residents but their website is unreadable due to more adverts than news.
A real shame for what was a decent paper.

This rag a paper is the personification of contemporary journalism. Populated by top 10 lists and where to go on a night out etc it’s goal is to be literary version of reality television. As a result its fringe and more ‘critical’ news rarely leaves a critical mark as they continually skirt over points (other than criminal mug shots). Furthermore, Liverpool a wonderful and cultural hub with links to film, music and art etc are often redundant to nothing. The reporters sound like journo graduates with no real passion for those aforementioned topics. Even the sports section skirts the lines of critical and beat journalism when it comes to the big two clubs in the city, they’re often regurgitated stories found online weeks earlier. Do not get me started on the digitised platform, a shocking money cow saturated by ad after ad that reduces the story to a side bar. I hope this paper shuts down! A shame to the city and journalism.

Website is just full of adverts slowing eveything down - pretty useless in my opinion.

Constantly crashes, too many ads and to add insult with the pop up asking us to donate money for this utter crap i only read for the comments section best part of it when it doesnt crash, i defo wont be reading this paper again, who wants to know about what dress Holly Willoughbys wearing next definitely not ‘Incredible’ news
