Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this recruiter. I was contacted by Matthew who had found my details on either LinkedIn or Indeed, and went through a vacancy they were looking for candidates for. I expressed interest and was invited to an interview with the law firm. I arranged twice to speak to Matthew to go through interview prep/background on the company and he didnt ring/answer his phone either time. He then called back when I was at work and unable to answer.

I got excellent feedback during the interview itself and was expecting an offer. Unfortunately, out of everyone's hands, the Mazur judgement was handed down meaning law firms were pulling unqualified employees from files.

I requested an update/feedback from Matthew a week after the interview, which didnt receive a response. I chased again the week after and received a response saying the law firm was seeking advice on the Mazur judgement and he would chase for an update.

I received no further contact and sent a further message asking for an update on the role, which again didnt receive a response.

Thankfully ive found a role through a different recruiter at a different law firm. I would be reluctant to engage with this firm in the future given the lack of contact and updates provided. Matthew seemed nice when I did speak to him, but it seems he lost interest whe it became clear the law firm wasnt proceeding with the role.

Sophie Griffiths was very helpful arranging two positive interviews and was effective in securing the right role for me. She is an asset to LJW. Thank you.
