Products are amazing, customer service in the shop while buying was amazing, delivery and communication were great. Sadly we were given a broken item and the follow up feom that was awful, zero response to 3 messages and no interest in the shop. Huge let down from everything else.

Delivery out of your or my control! Having been told it would be a week away, I got my first jobemail from parcel force this morning at 9.38 to say they are going to deliver today between 9.25 and 3.25!! Not ok. Do better or I won’t buy from you again. I flagged up at the time that I am out all day and need reliable delivery. I asked to pick up in store (it’s a mirror not a sofa) and was told no. Useless.

It was our first time to your Edinburgh store. The staff were very helpful. The gentleman who was helping us knew the stock very well. No waffle. We had come down from the highlands and it was definitely worth the trip. My purchase has arrived .Beautiful quality. I needed an exchange for 2 items and this has already been organised. I would definitely like to visit this shop again.

Wow! Sam at the Edinburgh store was absolutely incredible.

We’ve visited several Loaf stores over the years, and every member of staff has been lovely, but Sam truly stood out. He struck the perfect balance between being attentive and helpful while also giving us the space to browse and enjoy the experience without ever feeling pressured. His knowledge of the products was exceptional, and he was genuinely warm, friendly, and engaging throughout our visit.

Shopping at Loaf has always felt special, but Sam made choosing our sofa an experience to remember. He helped make what can often feel like a big decision enjoyable, exciting, and completely stress-free.

Thanks to his advice and service, we’re already planning to come back for a chair and a mattress—and if we’re not careful, probably the rest of the store too!

Highly recommend Loaf (Edinburgh Straiton Branch) - the team there were fantastic, extremely knowledgeable- answering all of our questions for the multiple visits we did to find our perfect first home sofa. Sam in particular was excellent!

We spent over £4,250 on a bedroom furniture suite from Edinburgh Loaf and the experience has been beyond disappointing.

After waiting 9 weeks for delivery, we were contacted just two days before it was due to arrive and told there was an issue with the headboard they had made. By that point, we had already disposed of our old bed frame and were literally sleeping on the floor.

We then waited another 4 weeks, only for Loaf to attempt delivery of a SINGLE headboard for a super king bed. Unsurprisingly, we refused delivery.

What made matters even worse was that on the day of delivery, after discussing the issue with the delivery driver, Loaf didn’t even have the common decency to call and apologise. We had to chase them ourselves for an explanation and to discuss next steps.

Their solution? An 18% discount and a request for us to wait another 4–8 weeks while they have a third attempt at making the bed they are supposed to sell professionally.

The whole situation would be laughable if it wasn’t so frustrating. Poor communication, repeated mistakes, and absolutely no sense of urgency despite the amount of money spent.

We genuinely don’t know what else to say other than: stay away.

We arrived with a clear idea of what we wanted after researching online. There was so much choice, and the quality was excellent. The staff—Marian, Sam, and the Allan s—were friendly without being intrusive. They gave us space to browse and were available when we were ready to place our order. Although the furniture is expensive, it is built to last and looks amazing. By the way, if you are not ready to receive your order, for example, if you are decorating or waiting to move in, they will store it for you free of charge for up to four weeks.

Absolutely brilliant experience in store. Wendy from the Straiton, Edinburgh store helped me pick out my new sofa and she was amazing. Super attentive and informative. She was able to help me do lots of colour matches, lots of measuring and also giving me time to have a look around to get a feel. She made me feel much more comfortable and reassured. Can’t thank her enough. Would definitely recommend and I’d be very keen to go back if I need further furniture or help. Also quality of everything is superb and should set a standard for everywhere else!!

Sharon was incredibly helpful in showing me round and suggesting complimentary colours/cushions/rugs etc. Couldn't have been more helpful and didn't feel rushed at all. Very inviting showroom and made the whole process fun and enjoyable. Just right balance of friendly and helpful. Love that the staff are not on commission so you feel advice is not biased.
