Lobstack is a desktop app for AI agents that ask before they act. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and it’s in public beta. You give an agent a job: fix a bug, draft the weekly client report, follow up with leads, tidy a spreadsheet. It reads what it needs on its own. Anything that changes something stops and waits for you, with the exact diff, command or message shown before you approve it. Each step is approved separately. Saying yes to git status never says yes to git push. Sending, publishing and payments always ask, even in the most permissive mode, and they’re refused when nobody is watching. The coding agent works on its own branch. Committing, pushing and opening a pull request are each separate approvals, so nothing reaches your main branch without you. You choose what powers it: the Lobstack API, your own provider key, or your GitHub Copilot subscription. The app sends no telemetry, and the Windows and Mac installers are signed. Getting started is free. The first time you log in from the app, you get $5 of credit for 30 days, with no card needed. After that the app stays free with your own key or Copilot. Paid plans start at $29 a month for teams and agencies who want more included usage, client budgets and shared controls. Lobstack is built in Chicago by a small team. If something breaks or confuses you, tell us here. We read every review and reply to them.

Great tool for AI automation

Lobstack AI makes it easier to manage tasks across files, code, and browser tools. I especially like its approval system, which keeps me in control of every important action. A promising tool with plenty of potential!
