First, I was not aware that I would be transferred from one person to another during the refi experience, like a hot potato. One person to setup the refi, another two people to gather documents, another for underwriting, another for a house appraisal, another for closing, and finally another person for support. Funnily the first and the last person I dealt with were the best. The people that were gathering documents were totally disorganized. I gave them everything in the initial ask and they kept coming back with more and more requests, several of which had already been furnished but overlooked by Local. Underwriting asked for even more. Then during the "hot potato" experience one of the people in the chain left the Local Mortgage company, and i received 5 early am phone calls/email three days prior to closing asking for proof of something i had already paid to Local Mortgage, indicating if i did not have proof they would add it to my closing costs. In addition to this i have 2 emails and would often get pinged on my home email and others that would ping me on my office email, but usually never would people ping both which is what i asked them to-do. Whenever you have a "hot potato" plan it's like the telephone game, what the first person says is never what the last person quotes.

In the past the mortgage companies i have worked with there were 1 or 2 people engaged, not 7!

I suggest to stay clear of Local Mortgage unless you have A LOT of patience.

They give you their best rate which is also THE best rate the first time around. It was my first time to buy a home, and Travis answered patiently all the questions I had, while giving me also good advice. It was a smooth path to closing.

Working with Blair and the rest of the team at Local Mortgage were great. They helped shepherd our loan application though the process and we were able to close on a tight timeframe even with a last minute change just before closing.

Very easy to work with and very responsive. They work extremely fast. I closed in less than a month. I was hoping to get some cash to consolidate my debts and they were able to get more cash than I hoped for. My refinance will save me six or seven hundred dollars a month in debt payments. I definitely recommend Local Mortgage.

I was under stress from another lender and miss my closing date for House and then I came in contact with Travis and He is a fantastic person. He check all my documents very quickly and assured me that my loan will be approved before I proceed with them. He then assigned my case to his team and his team is very fantastic with regular updates about my loan progress. Every persons in his team is fantastic and I have a very good experience with all of them. Finally my loan approved and I am able to move in my new home. I will also consider them in future for any other home loan as they are very professionals in loan process.
I am very happy with their loan approval process and refer to my friends if anyone has any requirements for home loan.

Travis and the Local Mortgage team were by far, the most responsive and helpful mortgage company I've ever dealt with. The rate was much better than both other local banks/mortgage lenders as well as the non-descript big box mortgage companies. I highly recommend Local Mortgage to every home buyer or person refinancing.
