Locauto is the worst car rental company I’ve ever used. I rented a vehicle for less than 24 hours driving from lake como area to Verona with no problems. At drop off, the woman who works in the Verona office found a scratch on the passenger side rear panel that was not previously marked by the lake como office. Mind you this car is a wreck with dents and scratches around the entire car. Within 24 hours of returning the vehicle, Locauto sends an email threatening to charge me 790 euros for damages. There is no way Locauto received an auto repair quote within that short window. This company is poorly managed and will try to scam you. After renting cars almost monthly for 15 years, Locauto is truly the worst experience I’ve had.

The young man who assisted us was probably the most efficient, quick, and understanding person we have ever dealt with during our car rental experiences. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally.

I returned my car with mild dent under right door, not sure if because of me and they let me pay 800 Euro in addition to previous missing of luggage shelf, without negotiation and not responding to my dispute, I felt un fair treated with non professional attitude

The booking process was really easy. The car was almost brand new and had low mileage, the customer service and staff was amazing and provided a good and fast service when we arrived, the car was already prepped and ready to go. They explained us well what roads to avoid in Como in Italy so we don't get a fine. No hidden fees and when we returned the car we filled the tank and they did a quick check up and there was no problem. First time I've reviewed a company, but in my experience, they were great!

All went well … the car was new and the agent was very helpful providing an extra car charger as all built in connections were USB type C and mine was type A

Locauto in Como is honest. Never an issue charging over scratches or anything else. We have been scammed by almost everyone else in the area, but we rent from Locauto at least 6-7 times now and have not had a single issue. They didn't even charge us for a window that got completely shattered(by the guys across the street mowing lawns....threw out a rock and killed the window).

Friendly, helpful, and kind service. We needed a last minute rental and the lady who helped us both days was great. If we ever needed to rent a car in the Lake Como area, we would definitely book through them again.

Great communication and easy to deal with.

Pick up and delivery was flawless and fast. I don't give you five starts because I believe your charge to refuel the car was excessive. Unfamiliar with the area I did not find a gas station close enough to refuel before dropping the car. My instructions were to drop the car at terminal 2… but at location I was informed that I had to deliver the car at terminal 1. Needless to say, unfamiliar with the airport, I got lost twice. Even tough I was offered the opportunity to refill the tank by myself, I did not want to take the risk of getting lost… and be late for my flight. Thus, trusting the charge for refilling was reasonable, without asking, I left the car. That is the only negative… the rest again, people were very cordial, prompt and effective. Will rent again… but I suggest you revisit your fees.

Friendly staff. Easy and simple process to p in up and drop off. Cars are nearly new mostly as I can see. Reliable rental car company in Italy.

Extremely bad communication. Credit card booking with any explanation three months after the car was hired. Wrote 3 Emails to Locauto, no reply. Tried Chat, no answer. Not in Spam folder either.

I've rented from Locauto a couple of times now and they are always friendly and provide great service. The cars are always well maintained and clean. Highly recommend!
