Staff and service

Friendly and helpfull staff on getting and returning the car. We got the better insurance with them as well to be on a safe side with any issues we could have but fortunately enough there was no issues. We got different car however, still from the same 'small' car category so it wasn't an issue for us.

Locauto should improve the waiting time at the desk. Almost one hour lost. Maybe ALL customers should fill in the registration documents BEFORE arriving at the counter.

Fast and quick
Car was new

We were charged for damage that we did not do to the car. The car was hardly driven and they claimed we scraped the front bumper. Also, we had to not an additional charge because we arrived early to pick up the car.

The car rental went smoothly and without any problems. Within 10 minutes I received the car, after carefully inspecting it for damage beforehand — all the damage I found had already been recorded in the vehicle handover report. The ones that weren't recorded were small dents and scratches up to 5 centimeters, and this condition is stipulated in the report. I had booked a VW POLO but was given a Jeep Avenger, which is even a bit larger. The car itself is new, a 2026 model, clean and in excellent technical condition. I returned the car without any problems, nothing was charged to me and no damage was attributed to me. My insurance was basic with no additional charges. Upon my request, the company provided a child seat for an extra fee. For inexpensive cars, no deposit is required — here it's symbolic, just 0.01 euros. A debit card is accepted for the rental; it must be a VISA/Mastercard in the renter's name. It's very convenient that a credit card isn't needed, since it's currently difficult for Russians to obtain such cards.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Pick up and drop off were very efficiently handled so overall a good experience and I would use Locauto again and recommend the company to friends. More. Instruction regarding tolls is required as we do not have tolls in Perth, Australia and we found ourselves in the wrong lane blocked in by angry truck drivers. Booking process could be clearer as some of the emails were sent in Italian. Other than that all went well.

We mistakenly rented a car from a diff location and Locoauto was able to get us a car same day regardless.
