Good experience in general
Online checking was a bit annoying, but made it much easier when checking out the car. Return was quite straigh forward. The car didn't have the trunk rug, what made arranging luggade a bit messy. Jeep Renegade was comfortable, but had a very bad performance at lower gears.

Process was smooth, Need to post office hours.
Everything ran smoothly, with the rental agent knowledgeable and friendly. I would suggest that there be a sign posted about hours of operation. We tried to return the car early in the afternoon the day before only to discover the office was closed.

Totally recommended!
We had a problem with another company that ended up with no car for us. Then we went to Locauto's offices - both, airport and Lecce's - and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a car and everything went nice and easy.
I would 100% recommend renting cars with them :)

Tire pressure to check
The tire pressure was not correct when we took the car and the guy told us to go in a station and to do it ourself, which was not a problem, but it could have been checked before giving us the car.
Also, we choses a small hybrid car on the website , which was not available, and they gave us a big SUV, which was not really the way we wanted to spend our vacations.

Lecce car hire
Despite there being a small queue when we arrived in the booking office, the service was quick and efficient and the car was ready on time. It was a really pleasant surprise to get an upgrade and an automatic vehicle for the duration of the hire. The drop off of the hire car was even quicker and an email receipt confirmation was quickly sent after we departed. Excellent service

Very reliable and easy to use. The Locauto representative was very helpful and explained in detail every step we had to take so the rental would be a breeze. Also the fact that they do not charge a deposit is very big advantage.

Positive experience with Locauto
I chose this company based on the positive reviews and while it was more expensive than others, I had a worry-free experience. The car was great, the service was pretty fast, no hidden fees. I would recommend and I would rent from here again.

Locauto break down service not helpful.
Our car got a flat tyre and unfortunately there was no spare tyre in the back to change it. So we phoned the help desk and after being hung up on, and having to re phone, Locauto finally managed to call a tow truck to help us. It was the tow truck driver that managed to drive us to a service station and organise a taxi that took us to Matera, not Locauto. Despite having full insurance, the taxi cost us 150Euro - plus we were charged additional penalty costs to fill the car up with fuel. That amounted to about another 300 euro or so, none of which was not covered by insurance. All because they did not have a spare tyre for us to change.

Very good experience
Complete flow was very smooth. Overall experience was very positive. The only small point isn’t that when we were going to leave the car in the Bari Airport, the park was completely full. But we managed to leave it anyway without a problem.

Pickup in Lecce was easy & staff welcoming & very helpful - even helping with CarPlay which we needed for navigation. Drop off at Malpensa T2 was seamless and staff member was smiley & helpful. Would definitely use again.
