Rather new car, but in my opinion smaller than Audi A3
Gps system at surcharge, and it was dependent on my mobile phone - and there was not everywhere connection to Internet!!

Everything was exactly as agreed
Everything was exactly as agreed, with no hidden costs.
The car was practically new, with only 6,000 km on the clock. The service during both pickup and return was excellent. Everything went quickly and smoothly, and all existing damage was clearly marked beforehand.
Unlike many other rental companies, Locauto is a real breath of fresh air in an industry where unfortunately there are plenty of companies trying to take advantage of customers, especially in Italy.
A very positive experience overall. Highly recommended!

I was a little apprehensive as I have heard not so good things about Italian car companies. The price was fantastic. I had to book last minute so compared to the American car companie I just went ahead and booked it. Everything was flawless from beginning to end the staff were so friendly. I had a jeep that was spotlessly clean ran terrific. I will definitely book with them again as I visit Italy quite often!

Terrible experience and extremely poor customer service.
We arrived at Sardinia Olbia airport with a confirmed and paid reservation for an automatic car, only to be told at the Locauto counter that no automatic vehicle was available and that they could only offer us a manual car. I do not drive manual, so this was not a viable alternative.
What was most disappointing was the complete lack of willingness to help. The staff were rude, dismissive and unhelpful. They made no meaningful effort to find another automatic vehicle, offer an upgrade, or propose any alternative. Instead, they simply told us to contact Booking.com and solve the problem ourselves.
We were left without a car and had to make a new reservation ourselves at the last minute.
Availability issues can happen, but confirming a reservation and then showing no willingness to help when you cannot provide it is unacceptable.
A stressful and expensive experience. I would not recommend or rent from Locauto again.

The people were friendly and efficient
The people were friendly and efficient. Me and my partner managed to rent a car in Sardinia with no stress - this included picking it up from the airport and returning before our flight home. Everything was straightforward and the car was well looked after, clean and ready for our holiday. We had no issues with the vehicle, it functioned as intended.
